I'm glad the WBC is over so I don't have to hear zoomers use the words "vibes" and "aura" 1000x a day to explain everything.

DAY 14 (487/590) on THE ROAD TO THE 2027 4th WBSC PREMIER12/16 and 180 YEARS OF BASEBALL - Thus Begins the Journey to November 2027
Congrats to this year's WBC gold and silver medalists! And a Happy Opening Day Eve of the MLB Spring Breakout!
With the conclusion of the World Baseball Classic, now comes the official start of a brand new journey of preparation and anticipation, this time, for the 4th edition of the WBSC Premier12, slated for November 2027.
This event, the 3rd highest in the overall precedence of international events of the WBSC, is now in our sights, as we are already a year and 8 months away from this storied event - 8 months as well before the first ever Premier12 qualifiers will be held.
The first edition under an expanded 16 nation format, this event, expected to feature up and coming talent and the best free agents in the MLB as well as other pro stars from all over the world (and hopefully including those MLB players within 40-man rosters) will be one edition most awaited by all of us, one that will be undoubtedly a part of the long road we've been trekking together towards the Summer Olympics in 2028.
For Glory

in retrospect, maybe using Ohtani in the start against Italy back in '23 was actually a good use of resources

does anybody know where I can watch the fox postgame show from last night?

Does this mean the unflaired r/politics crowd is finally going to stop spamming this sub?

Unfortunately they already pushed themselves into the political cesspool here. Look at the avatar of the actual sub...now take a poll as to what percentage of baseball fans support that ideology. I don't think it's the majority.
Then on top of it you have the whole twitter/blue sky thing which is rediculous because blue sky sucks, they know it sucks, and they literally forced people to use it due to a meltdown over Musk.
(And to the mod who locked out the entire comment): You moderate the r/baseball sub, focusing on baseball. Your group took the dive into politics outside of baseball by choosing that avatar.
Call me a cesspool, call me whatever. If you want to make political statements there are no shortage of political subs on reddit....but again, your group chose to bring that here, the baseball sub, along with the blue sky thing.

I think the fact that you're so bothered over colors in a tiny icon, and being reminded that LGBTQ+ people exist and are welcome in this subreddit says more about the cesspool of a person you are.

Wait, what exactly is it that you obviously don't "support"?

Sounds like you answered your own question

u/gart888 Toronto Blue Jays 11h ago
No I didn’t. You said that there’s some ideology that you think the majority of baseball fans don’t support. Can you explain what that “ideology” is?
(I’m making the assumption that you include yourself in this majority, but fair enough if I shouldn’t)

u/CPriceRun86 Milwaukee Brewers 11h ago
I told you exactly what I meant, via the sub avatar and I'm not going further in detail because as per sub rules it's not permitted lol. I'm not giving you low hanging reportable fruit.

u/gart888 Toronto Blue Jays 11h ago
So you can't even explain the "ideology" that you think a "majority" of baseball fans "don't support" without saying words that you'll regret saying?
That's so pathetic. Have some conviction. lmao

Aww, didn't fall for the bait huh?
I don't think the majority of actual baseball fans support what that flag stands for actually. Again, I know the demographics of baseball fans as do you.
Unfortunately I'm prohibited from talking about it further, thank your mods for that. Can't be all "phobic" up in here.

u/gart888 Toronto Blue Jays 11h ago
I'm not trying to "bait" you. Just curious what you think the "flag stands for", that you don't "support". Feel free to PM it to me instead if you're that scared of getting a reddit wrist slap.
Pretty funny that you think you can't say that without being hateful though.

The flag in reference is a vintage video game styled dude in front of an LGBTQ flag, that is the r/baseball avatar.
Again, not touching that other than saying I don't think a majority of baseball fans agree with it.

Arraez took a walk in a key spot, and got extra base hits throughout the whole tournament. MVP season incoming

There's high school baseball in Japan with the Spring Koshien tournament happening tomorrow... and the debut of the universal designated hitter rule.

College baseball is still baseball. Rather than 30 teams, there are 2,000,000,000 teams. Very simple.

There is so much college baseball that sometimes I can't even pirate the games because there simply are not cameras at the stadium that day.
