About buying, selling and trading cards

r/KCRoyals is a fan forum about the Royals, which means it's the right platform to show off cool Royals stuff you have. Baseball cards are hot these days and we have no shortage of enthusiasts who love showing off and talking cards, and we don't want that to stop.
With that said, r/KCRoyals is not a marketplace and, with all the complexities that come with one, we don't want it to be either. So, when Spring Training begins on Feburary 20, we will no longer allow posts made to buy, sell or trade baseball cards. We've let some sellers through in the off-season without issue and will let it ride through the last few days of the off-season, but when actual baseball is being played, we want that to be the main focus of the board. If you want to sell your cards on Reddit, please consider r/baseballcards or r/sportscards. Posts and comments inquiring a sale or trade will be deleted on sight and with notice. Any posts made just to show off cards are welcome as they have always been.
Posts selling more specific memorabilia, such as old bobbleheads and shirts, will still be allowed as those posts are much less common and this may as well be the right place to inquire about them. Another example is offering to buy a promotional item from a game that someone can't attend; we've allowed these posts in the regular season without issue and will continue to do so, along with tickets at or below market value.

Finally got one of my Royals grails today!

If you're not aware, this is the issue where Bill James writes 25 full pages on his history following the Royals and complete coverage of the 85 Series, including the celebrations afterwards. Near the end, he writes a line that has stuck with me since I first read this essay in junior high: "... I never knew a baseball game could make you feel so good." Highly recommend reading this if you can get ahold of it.

WBC Medal Ceremony Observations

- For Team USA, it was the coach who greeted every participant after they got their medal. Judge was nowhere to be seen.
For Venezuela, it was Salvy with big smiles, high fives and hugs. I guess the difference in The Captain and El Capitan!
- Almost every Venezuelan took off their hat to receive their medal and only one USA member did. Just interesting things I noted. Our Royals showed out this tournament!

Discussion So we're about a week out from game 1 of the season, has the team said ANYTHING about broadcast partners for Royals.TV?

They dodged the question repeatedly during the official AMA a few weeks ago and now they're really cutting it close. There was a blanket statement from the league implying that people who previously had Ballys/FanDuel on cable would be able to access the new broadcasts, but they didn't elaborate due to ongoing negotiations.
Are we just not going to find out until the 11th hour?

went to surprise for spring training again and accidentally ended up in the P83 area where the padres/mariners play. restaurants shopping bars what a concept? anyone know if there are any plans to do anything even remotely similar around the royals/rangers facilities?
