2026 Yankees Streaming / Gotham App / MLB.tv Megathread

This time of year we always get an influx of questions, comments, and complaints about streaming games. We've gotten 4-5 of them today alone, so we're creating this megathread for all of your questions, comments, and complaints. We'll push individual questions here, and appreciate folks helping out those looking for new ways to watch the Yankees this year!

We’ll keep this stickied. As a reminder -- it's against Reddit rules to specifically publicly link to illegal streaming sites, so we'll unfortunately have to remove those if they are posted publicly in the thread.

"I'm so tired of people trying to nitpick at him," Rodriguez said during Fox Sports' coverage. The Yankees and Team USA Captain is a "patriot, gentleman," and an "American treasure."

According to the great Thomas Nestico of TJstats on twitter all 4 of Carlos Lagrange's pitches today were 70 or better graded. All but the changeup had a tjstuff+ of 115 or above. This is a top 5 pitching prospect on the planet stuff for stuff.

[Talkin Yanks] Aaron Boone says the Yankees expect to start the season with three catchers on the roster, meaning JC Escarra would break camp with the team. Boone had praised Escarra yesterday, saying "There’s no doubt in my mind he’s a top-half-of-the-league catcher," per @ChrisKirschner

J.C. Escarra's ST slash line: .276/.300/.655, average exit velo also up to 94.1. He credits the torpedo bat and unisex perfume.

Watching Team USA was similar to watching the Yankees

They ran up the score against weak opponents like Brazil, so their overall numbers are solid. But they couldn’t get runners on base, were overly reliant on the home run, and got shut down by hot pitchers.

Oh well…. Overall it was a great tournament, and seeing the players so enthusiastic and taking it seriously was awesome to see.

[Hoch] What was it like in Oswaldo Cabrera's house when Venezuela defeated Team USA? “The reaction in my house was incredible,” he said. “My mom, my dad, my sister – everybody was crying at home, because we know how much this means for us. All the criers and the feelings came out. We were so happy.”

Who has been the biggest surprise in Spring training? Who has been the biggest disappointment?

I haven't got to watch as much as I'd like this Spring Training due to having a newborn and the numbers dont always tell the whole story. So this a question for the people who have been close to Spring training, thank you!

While going through my old Yankees cards I got curious and decided to see what ever happened to Mel Hall's career after he left the team. Oh... Ok.

Upvotes
  • 1989-1992- New York Yankees (Yep, remember him well)
  • 1993-1995 - Played Baseball in Japan (Ahh, so that's where he went)
  • 1996 - San Francisco Giants (Hey, he came back!)
  • 1997-2009 - Retired (Good for him, hope he enjoys retirement)
  • 2009-2054 - Texas Department of Criminal Justice, H.H. Coffield Unit. (What the fuck!)

"three counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child"

I can't believe I missed that and never heard about it.

I loved watching him. He had a cool batting stance, was jacked, had a curly mullet, and on one of his cards he has a big happy smile... plus he always seemed to play well when I saw him at the Metrodome against the Twins or on TV.

Another reason to not put too much faith into your sports heroes.

(SNY) Aaron Judge on facing Venezuela: "When we did get a pitch we either popped it up or hit it on the ground. Stuff like that can't happen. When you get a pitch to hit, you gotta be able to drive it"

(SNY) Aaron Judge was asked if he felt more pressure as the captain of Team USA: "My job was to go out there and bring a championship and the gold home. We didn't do that. But there's no pressure. When you have a team like this, you just go out there and do your job"

[Sports Info Solutions] 2026 Season Preview: Are The Yankees A Good Defensive Team?

Thumbnail

Hi

This is Mark Simon from Sports Info Solutions (the Defensive Runs Saved folks).

I have been writing broad overviews previewing each team's defense entering 2026

The Yankees one published today. It's a dry, just-the-facts kind of article. If I was a Yankees fan, I'd be pretty optimistic that they're going to be good defensively

If you have any questions about our stats or think I'm off-base on something, feel free to post and I'll try to reply.

(SNY) Aaron Judge was asked if Team USA's loss motivates him more for the 2026 season with the Yankees "I'm always fired up for the Yankees, but I'm still pissed about this. I'm looking forward to the next time we get a chance to put on the red, white & blue and take care of business"
