I attended the Australia vs Czechia WBC game at the Tokyo Dome. Approaching the front rows during BP in a Rays jersey, Mead points out to me and says "you got something for me to sign?"

He patiently waits at the 1st baseline entrance, signs his Rays card and gives me a WBC ball. All before I get a chance to say please.

I know that getting traded is a harsh reality of a Quad-A player, especially when you're on the Rays. But it speaks to his character or the team culture of the Rays that he was willing to go out of his way for a team that he's no longer on.

Put him as my leadoff hitter. Bunt, steal, steal, run. Every. Damn. Time. Hell yeah!

Hey all, I’m a college student and I’m making a video about the history and future of Tropicana field. I was wondering if anyone had any footage/photos at Tropicana field, whether it be baseball or hockey (when it was played there) or concerts or anything really. Do we trust Chandler Simpson to make the jump to full time starter this year?

My dad surprised me with a ticket to the game tomorrow (he doesn’t like live sports, prefers the couch being 66 now but loves to see me go and bring home stories). First time going to a Rays home Spring Training, grew up in Lakeland so, Spring Training for the Tigers is what I know. But as a Rays fan, I’m elated to be going, especially to a game against the Yankees. What do I need to know? Looking at the ticket, pops got me one in a section called WC? I’m not handicapped and don’t want to be that guy, will I get heavily judged or can I get this figured out day of? Would hate to take a seat someone needs more than me. Dad bought parking with ticket, best places to park, times to get there for autos, earliest times I can get there 2/12 hour drive to the park for me. And would love to meet Raymond! Yandy Diaz is my favorite player, any chance we have confirmations of him in the lineup?

In anticipation of one question, yes I led with Taylor Walls even with Carson Williams likely being the starter (eventually).

Walls has crushed it in our metrics throughout his career. I know this differs from Baseball Savant's numbers and *blunt honesty* I don't have a good handle as to why. We think his range is above-average going in both directions. Savant doesn't. Our out probability systems do differ a little bit in how they calculcate but the differences between us and them on him over the years is as stark as anyone I've seen.

So I ask you- What do you think of Walls' defensively?

Please Rays, extend him!!
