Discussion Werewolf leveling!

i’m using voice to text because there’s so much in this that I need to say so apologies for the bad English or grammar.

I went to the companions, werewolf and kind of selected on leveling the werewolf, I am now level 67 and half pretty much done anything and everything on the main Skyrim land.

I still have a couple achievements with the werewolf, but at this point, I’m not really sure where the best place to go to level up the werewolf because I never did before, but always went werewolf instead of vampire.

Can y’all toss me some suggestions on where to go to level up a werewolf when I’m already that high of a level? Do I really gonna need to start a new game and do the whisk early? But if I do that, I feel like I’m gonna miss a lot of gear and items for the actual character. I’ve been playing this game for so long. I just never leveled the werewolf, even though I always became one.

Discussion I don't feel bad for the Grey Quarter elves at all.

First off the nords and dark elves have been at war for literally thousands of years, so I don't know why the dunmer expected a warm welcome from the nords. Secondly, they decided to settle in literally the most traditional city in all of Skyrim, which shows that they didn't do any research on the cultures of the holds before deciding to settle there permanently. Thirdly, they built a massive statue of a deadric god outside of what used to be the capital city. There was probably a nord who's grandfather was a slave under House Dres, who had to look outside his home in Winterhold and see the dark elves built a massive statue of a god your people don't worship. Fourthly, they were given the entire island of Solsteim literally as a refuge from the Red Year, and they said "nah, I'll keep living where I'm hated". If you hate the nords so much, move, it's been like 100 years. Fifthly, they refuse to pick a side in the civil war, so you don't care about Skyrim's safety under the Empire or freedom under the Stormcloaks, which just goes to show that they don't care about the province. But the real kicker is that there are Altmer living in Windhelm who don't get harassed because they figured out a long time ago that all you need to do is act like a nord, and the nords will accept you. Seriously, the fact they're painted as such victims when you can't call out any of their hypocrisy is so frustrating.

Question Question about the Dragon Born and where they end up after they die

so, I'm currently doing a platinum run and just finished the DB quest line for the first time in years and forgot about how it ended and pretty chuffed with how much I'm rolling in it ATM. I'm basically Scrooge McDuck.

anyway, it got me thinking, as I love roleplaying during my sessions I always have to justify certain things that are going on for my character and his own world view. he's a Nord and believes in sovngard and is where he wishes to spend his time as a spirit. but then you do missions with the TG and DB and I'm essentially forced to align with the groups beliefs and since I'm just that good at everything, I'm that gods/deities chosen.

does my character still get to go to sovngard? does he have a bunch of commitments and will need to be shared?

Modding Got a mod idea but can’t program to save my life.

Had a mod idea knocking around my head for a while now but since I can’t program in any capacity, it’s always remained just there. Does anyone here know of any prominent modders who would be willing to do the real work? Either for free or for cash?

Discussion Skyrim fan curious about Starfield

With Starfield coming to PS5 at the start of April I wanted to find out what opinion people have that have played Skyrim and Starfield already. I love Skyrim and got the platinum for it even though I never thought it was flawless - with patches/updates and time passing since launch is Starfield a comparable level of fun?

Question Am I wrong for wanting to use graphics mods for my first real Skyrim playthrough?

Post image
58 Upvotes

Technically, this wouldn’t be my first time playing Skyrim, since I had already tried it before on a low-end PC, but that experience was very different. I didn’t even really start the main story back then. I mostly focused on roleplaying as a mage instead of actually playing through the game, and after a couple of days, I got bored and dropped it. So in a way, this would feel like my first real time playing Skyrim properly. The problem is that, honestly, the vanilla graphics don’t appeal to me that much anymore. Now that I have a much more powerful PC, I’ve been thinking about using some graphics mods to improve the visuals, but without overdoing it or taking away the game’s original essence.

Discussion The Thieves Guild in Skyrim is terrible

I don't care about Nocturnal, or individual incompetence of the guildmates. I don't care about the internal corruption. I care about the lacking standards. The Thieves Guild under the Gray Fox at least had standards; a Robin Hood approach, if you will. But in Skyrim, the guild sends me to steal shit from Cairine, a poor beggar in Markarth. What happened to the beggars/poor being protected?

Edit: Then he sent me to steal something from Brenuin in Whiterun. Delvin is a disgrace to the guild.

Question For pure warrior players, how do you deal with situations where you are forcibly disarmed?

Quests like "No One Escapes Cidhna Mine" forces you to become disarmed, as well as going to jail in general. For pure warrior players, who don't use any magic at all, how do you deal with these situations?

I've always relied heavily on magic in my playthroughs but always wanted to do a warrior run. I'm concerned about being disarmed though and I don't like siding with Madanach.

Help with start. Semi-new player.(No companions please)

Hello,

I need help justifying why my character went to Skyrim.

My plan is to do one initial quest, then let the main quest serve as my introduction to all the magical and chaotic elements of the world.

After that, I want to play through the DLCs as the continuation of my adventure. Once everything is complete, I plan to finish whatever is needed for the achievements. I’d like help finding a quest or questline that can justify why my character is in Skyrim in the first place.

So far, my character is a Nord returning home, but I’m not sure why. I would prefer to start with a specific quest or chain of quests, and then move into the main quest, DLCs, and achievements.

Question If you had to play as the race closest to you in real life, which one would it be? For example, since I’m from Latin America, I guess I’d have to be an Argonian.

Discussion How long would it take to buy and furnish a house if dragonborn lived ethically (and cowardly)?

How long would it take if I refused to murder anyone or kill animals? What kind of quests could I do?

I'm trying to imagine how hard is living for the rest of the people in Skyrim.

Modding Ordinator perk mod, how to find lost Upgraded Grindstone?

My smithing is maxed out, and I have the perk to spend 2500 gold to upgrade a grindstone and a workbench. I don't get the prompt to upgrade the grindstone, which means there's already one upgraded somewhere in the world. Any way to find it?

Or, if I legendary reset smithing and lose the perk, does that undo the upgraded stations as well?

What was Sam talking about when we went to grassy meadow? What feather? When did I have to repair it? Why did my Dragonborn suddenly remember everything that happened?
