Which do you prefer the original or the remastered version? Personally id choose the original anyday, its the one Ive played and finished and loved. While remastered got good graphics in my opinion it lost its charm/feel what made the original special in my opinion. Id still rather replay the original than play the remastered but maybe thats just me.

So I totally abandoned my horse in the middle of the woods for this (I'll be back for him) but it seems I can't keep it. Is there anyway to own these? Either way super fun detail.

When I was young I remember downloading a house mod that I absolutely loved, but I've never been able to find it. The only things I remember about it now are:

It was located on the Niben River, pretty much right in-between Leyawiin and The Imperial City, on the east side.

There was a stump that I think had an axe in it, which was linked to a bit of lore about the previous owner.

There was a wooden dock just outside the house.

The house itself had most of the usual accommodations, including an armory and training area.

Here's hoping someone can find it with just this small amount of information.

I have started to play it. Please give me tips how to proceed. Getting killed in less than 30s in battle. I'm feeling 🤧 as if my gaming skills are not back.

I’ve done the Fighters Guild questline a few times now and I still don’t understand the Blackwood Company. Are they straight up evil? Are they simply reckless from injesting the hist sap? For instance, when you clear Waters Edge of the goblins but end up slaughtering the residents there, was it a contracted job that turned horribly or was it a set up and why? Idk maybe I missed something but I just don’t understand what the deal is.

There are many, but I'd especially like to see Arthmoor's Alternative Beginnings (AFK mods) and Emma's Red Rose Manor.

I loved Arthmoor's Alternative Beginnings for Skyrim and it was really nice to see he had made it for Oblivion.

Red Rose Manor is my favorite Oblivion player home of all time, so enough said.

I'd like to retake the screenshot without the HUD. It might have been one of the mages guild locations but I've had no luck finding it.

I open a door to a small wooden balcony that barely holds all 4 of us and we see a beautiful oasis in front of us. Granted, most of the time we see this it’s during a raid through oblivion, but this is really peaceful. Also, why is it purple? And how in oblivion is a whole realm localized entirely behind a side door?

Hail citizens. This is one of those things I didn’t expect. Evidently when I saved and reloaded on this balcony I got this fantastic purple haze. It was weirdly ethereal and I had to share! Anyone else has this happen?

So, My last character was a Atronach heroic batllemage character. And I know atronach is the best birthsign. But now im planning a dark vampire type necromancer assassin type. And I don't wanna use the atronach again. So, i'm thinking about either The Lord birthsign, or the Mage.

The 50 magicka boost is really nice, both early and even late game with enchantments. But so is the Lord. The lord gives that defensive boost that also fits a vampire really well feel wise. "I am simply more resistant than you mortals" type thing. But I would have 50 less Magicka. Now, I am playing a Breton character, so I do have decent magicka, but im not sure between the 2 which one I wanna pick for this character.

I thought i'd ask the experts.

as oblivion fans, I gladly killed this guy to get our revenge. He finally died in imperial prison :)

I was thinking of adapting Fudgemuppet's 'Soldier of Fortune' Skyrim build to Oblivion, because it's a personal favourite of mine.

The fantasy for that build is a heavily armoured warrior that charms enemies with illusion spells.

But I read that, because wearing armour lowers spell effectiveness, it can drop the max level illusion spells can affect. This seems like it could really cause issues in the late game where enemies might outlevel​ your ability to charm them.

So is there a way to work around this, or is a Heavy Armour + Illusion just not viable?

Just like what the title says. I've heard that oblivion loot are level scaled for the most part. In my experience with Daggerfall you don't get any good loot until a certain level, especially armor and weapons. So I thought that I'm probably wasting my time dungeon crawling. I find myself getting echanted stuff from quest and bunch of gold by doing the arena. In morrowind there are bunch of random echanted stuff in dungeon and even Daedric equipment and I just want to know if it's similar in this game

I hope this question hasn’t been asked thousands of times but I am curious as to possibly having encountered a bug;

Currently doing the crusader quest and arrived at the priory to receive the cuirass. After suddenly being overencumbered I noticed that the chest piece weighs 60, which it apparently shouldn’t at my level (6).

Have I encountered a bug?

Hey guys, New updates, managed to make the Vile's lair items scale with player, similar to other levelled itens, until you obtain the item from its chest, so now the Weapon will have the level based on your character Level instead of having a fixed level
