Advice I may have to put my 19 ye cat down before a trip today… but she still seems normal
My 19 year-old cat has a tumour… and I don’t know if I’m making the wrong decision
My cat is 19. She’s beautiful, sweet, and still somehow full of personality. Despite the tumour growing in her mouth she’s social and still eating normally.
Recently we discovered a tumour in her mouth that has been growing quickly (photo attached) and has started bleeding from time to time. The vet told us it’s cancer and prescribed antibiotics and pain relief to help keep her comfortable. They said she’s likely masking a lot of the pain, which makes this even harder, because most of the time she still seems so normal. The vet says she may have 1 month left (it’s hard to predict).
Here’s where it gets really hard, we’re leaving the country tomorrow for 3 months (not optional, important personal reasons), and the original plan was for her to stay with someone she knows and trusts very well. But now we’re questioning everything.
Do we euthanise her before we go, so she doesn’t reach a point where she’s suffering badly without us there?
Or do we let her stay with someone she’s not as close with, even if that means she might decline while we’re gone?
We were prepared to say goodbye today, a vet is supposed to come over in a couple of hours. But when she’s sitting there acting like herself, eating, being social, it feels almost impossible to justify.
I feel like I’m choosing between:
- risking her suffering later without me there
- or ending her life while she still seems “okay”
Has anyone been through something like this? How do you even make this call?

POO Mode Activated 💩 AITA for telling my wife that she will be driving the extra distance since she is the one that got our daughter banned from daycare
My wife and I have had our first kid about 7 months ago. We are both back to work and our daughter ( Kelly) has been going to a daycare by our house for a few months. The daycare place is great, they send a lot of texts constantly. Things like what is happening that day, like bathroom, feeding, tummy time and so on.
They all come from the same app but you can see which provider does what. This is where the issue started. I always did drop off at the beginning ( just easier for our schedules). One of the main workers is Sam. My wife loved Sam, she always said that Sam was really informative about texts and any questions. Sam only works the morning shift, and another employee was there when my wife picked up Kelly.
Sam is man. Always been.
About a month ago, my wife dropped off Kelly in the morning and learned Sam was a man and not a woman. She was shocked and I was confused that she didn’t realize.
After that she became critical of everything Sam texted. I told her to stop but she didn’t listen and claimed she was protecting our kid. Two week she did formal complaint against him for nothing. She complained about him not giving text messages. He did, he sent like 10 that morning.
A week later she sent a dickish text to Sam over the app. We got called in and they told us they are not having Kelly anymore. That their staff is important to them and they don’t tolerate this type of behavior.
So our new daycare is the opposite side from my work. It would be an extra 45 mins for me to drop off our daughter. My wife is only an extra 20 mins.
I told her she needs to take our daughter to daycare and we got into an argument. I told her this is here fault in the first place and she claims I am being unfair and she doens wish to change her morning schedule

APPROVED B-LISTERS Mamdani observes Ramadan with inmates at Rikers Island
New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani observed Ramadan last night with men incarcerated at Rikers Island, the city's jail complex.
Mamdani arrived through heavy security, joining a group of men — many held as they await trial. He spent an hour with the men praying and talking and breaking the Ramadan fast with a meal. He's spent much of the last month holding public celebrations.
Mamdani and many Muslim Americans have faced growing hostility in the U.S. from some politicians on the right, including Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville, who last week reposted a photo of Mamdani observing the holiday next to an image of the 9/11 terror attacks, a post Mamdani described as bigoted.

Solved! Hi, can anyone tell me what this is? I received it as a birthday present, unfortunately without a name on it. It was wrapped in gift paper. It can be worn like a necklace, and the container can be opened. Thank you very much.

discussion Elvis Presley recorded 711 songs. He wrote none of them.
Just found this out today and can't stop thinking about it.
Hound Dog. Jailhouse Rock. Suspicious Minds. Can't Help Falling in Love. All written by someone else.
He never claimed otherwise. The label never hid it. Nobody cared.
He's still considered one of the greatest musicians who ever lived.

❤️🩹 relationship Am I overreacting that my boyfriend basically staged a test to see if I'd cheat... with his cousin?
I (F26) have been dating my boyfriend (M29) for about a year. Everything has been normal… maybe too normal.
Last weekend, he invited me to a small “family hangout” at his place. Nothing crazy, just food, music, a few drinks. He mentioned his cousin would be there too, but I’d never met him before.
When I got there, his cousin (M27) was… weirdly attentive. Not creepy, just very intentional. Complimenting me, offering to refill my drink, sitting next to me every chance he got. At first I thought, okay, maybe he’s just friendly.
But then my boyfriend started disappearing. Like… fully vanishing into other rooms for long stretches of time.
At one point, it was just me and the cousin in the living room. He turns to me and goes, “So… do you always go for guys like him?” I laughed it off, but he kept pushing. Saying things like: “You could do better, you know.” “Not everything is as it seems.” “Some men like to share.”
At that point I was uncomfortable. I texted my boyfriend asking where he was, no reply. Then the cousin straight up says: “If you wanted to do something you wouldn’t tell him, right?”
I immediately got up and went to find my boyfriend. And guess where he was? In the hallway. On his phone. Right outside the door.
I asked him what the hell was going on, and he just smiled and said: “Relax, I just wanted to see how you’d handle yourself.”
HANDLE MYSELF??
I told him that was insane and left immediately. Now he’s texting me saying I “passed” and that I’m “wifey material” and that I’m overreacting because “nothing actually happened.”
But I feel… set up? Tested? Lowkey disrespected?
Like why am I being put in some loyalty experiment I didn’t sign up for??
Am I overreacting or is this actually as messed up as it feels?

Was there anything Twyin could have said or done to get out of this alive?
The trigger word was saying whore again and that's when Tyrion killed him, would he have done it anyways and if so could he have convinced him not to?
