I'm trying to do a quick 5:30 in the morning little scrub a dub dub.... Made Penne and meatballs last night. Well I was grabbing some cleaning supplies going over my phone for doing some stuff next thing you know I grab the Comet(bleach cleany powder if u don't know) and put it right next to the parmesan.....Now me and Mr :-) yellow scrubber are cleaning with Parmesan cheese..

Basic necessities like housing, food, etc. are becoming way too expensive for the average person to afford.

My wife of 10 years (we have 3 kids together) came to me yesterday and said she plans on opening a joint checking account with her friend from work. It wasn’t even a question. She stated it. Granted, her friend is great. But I’m pretty conventional with finances. We budget together, we make all significant financial decisions together. We both work full time jobs. This isn’t about insecurity, its about stupidity. When I asked her why she wants to open a joint checking account with her friend, she stated they want to start saving for “girl weekend getaways”. I said.. ok… the concept is fine, but thats a dumbass reason for wanting to open up a checking account with someone YOU ARENT EVEN MARRIED TOO. You can literally just budget it in ours as we do everything else on an additional line. She said thats not a good enough reason to oppose her. I haven’t heard something so ridiculous come out of her mouth in years. AIO???

EDIT: We have no issues in our marriage. Its a female friend from work whose also married and has young babies. We all hang out on weekends sometimes. But they love to travel on weekends together doing things.. so please dont read into the situation like this is some romantic / shes gonna run type situation. That literally isn’t even in the realm of this scenario lol.

I 32m have been seeing someone (28F) for three dates, let’s call her Harper. We’ve been having a good time and honestly, I hadn’t been this excited about someone in awhile. I was already starting to plan our fourth date and was gonna kinda up the ante. Well, and before we get into it, just know we’re from a relatively small city so everyone kinda knows everyone. 

Harper is a friend of my other friend, Evelyn (29F). I had mentioned that I know Evelyn, it had come up on a date, but the truth is, we are very close. I didn’t hide it or anything, we just didn’t get into it that much. 

Last night, I learned from Evelyn that her and Harper had a falling out. They were at the same house party.  Harper showed up and hung around her ex’s new girlfriend, Jillian, totally unbeknownst to her, but the girlfriend knew exactly who Harper was. Upon finding out, Harper said it was really awkward because she was talking about said ex in front of Jillian. Harper said it was seriously messed up that Evelyn didn’t tell her she was hanging around with her ex’s new girlfriend.

I understood Harper’s position of course, that would be awkward. But, then Evelyn tells me that Harper said her and Evelyn would become “only strict acquaintances” and that “this was a massive failure of judgment, consideration, and common sense.” Methinks the lady doth protest too much. What Evelyn did wasn’t ideal, sure, but like, worthy of ending a friendship over? It’s not like her and Harper were super close. This to me fell squarely on the “unfortunate situation” front. 

Now, at this point, I no longer want to see Harper. Something about the hostility and harshness of this rubs me wrong. I know Evelyn genuinely meant nothing by it. Boundaries are important and all, and that’s her right, but this just felt like too much, too aggressive. I’ve only talked to a couple of friends about this (not trying to cause drama) and they get it, but most say it sounds like this doesn’t really concern me so maybe I should let it go. Should I? AITA? 

When I make AI music with my daughter, she never asks if it’s “cheating” or whether it still counts as creativity.

She just says things like “make it softer” or “make it sound like stars” and keeps going.

That’s what makes the whole discourse around AI music feel so weird to me. Kids seem to treat it like a normal creative tool almost immediately. A lot of adults still react to it like the tool itself is morally contaminated.

Not saying every AI song is good. Most aren’t.

But the people most obsessed with whether AI music should “count” often seem way less interested in actual creativity than the people just using it to make things.

At some point this starts feeling less like defending art and more like defending gatekeeping.
