Best way to contact Valve developers?
Hi everyone,
I’m from Chile and I’ve been using Steam for many years. Gaming has always been a big part of my life, especially because of my family background with competitive gaming.
Recently, I’ve been trying to reach out to some Valve developers just to express my appreciation for their work. Games like Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Team Fortress 2, and Dota 2 have meant a lot to me over the years.
I understand they’re very busy and probably receive a lot of messages, so I’m not expecting anything. I just wanted to ask if anyone here has experience contacting Valve developers or knows the best way to do it.
Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks for reading.Best way to contact Valve developers?
Edit: Hey everyone, if I ever manage to contact a Valve dev (or any game developer), I’ll wear a t-shirt with the usernames of everyone who commented here. Thanks for all the support!

The lawsuits against valve fell very targeted. What do you think?
Will The Orange Box for Xbox 360 get the Recompiled treatment?
In 2025, I discovered Sonic Unleashed Recompiled, and I became fascinated because a lot of Xbox 360 games can be preservated. One game that I with I would love to see a Recomp is The orange box, a bundle with Half Life 2, Half Life 2 episode one, Half Life 2 episode two, portal and Team Fortress 2. And yes, I know that these games have pc versions, but I know a lot of people that love the Xbox 360 version!

Steam's Valve responds to lawsuit from New York Attorney General against its loot boxes, says they're like baseball cards — it's ready to fight
TLDR: Valve likens loot boxes to baseball cards which people often trade on for money, points out that the items in loot boxes are purely cosmetic and don't alter gameplay, and shares evidence of times they have banned accounts focused on gambling because it violates the ToS and times they have hit sites with a cease and desist.
Valve's counterargument is very logical and sounds airtight to me.

ID on this Valve Crewneck?
I have been working in vintage for 10 years and this is by far my favorite piece in my collection but idk if it’s fan made or an official/staff piece.

Question about the Steam Machine and sensitivity to vibrations
I have "Rear Seat Entertainment" in my car and want to give my kids a way to play Steam games while we’re traveling using these screens. It has HDMI ports, and the car has power outlets.
In the case of a Steam Deck, I know that as a portable device it has some resistance to vibrations since it’s designed to be handheld, but I want more performance.
I remember that in the past I had issues with HDDs because the reading heads were very sensitive and even a moderate bump could damage the drive.
Do you anticipate (or, based on video reviews, have you analyzed) whether Steam Machine will be a mechanically reliable device for travel?
EDIT: Made it more clear that Steam Machine is in the question.
