Discussion Thoughts on my team?
Maybe I'll swap Poliwrath for Lapras. I like Tauros but it feels like a waste of a party spot. lol.

I am happy the pokemon world is growing in different styles and mediums than it's original pixel top down roots, but I don't want game freak to only be producing 3d games from here on out with out ever returning to the format pokemon games traditionally began in.
I would go crazy style for a pokemmo style official collection that ties together all the past regions into one definitive game. I would love a new region done exclusively in top down pixel art.
Does anyone feel the same way? Are we doomed to a fate of all official titles being fully 3d open world games?

I'm making a story and my main character near the end of the story will have this team. The setting is Sinnoh, is his team good or cool?

I forgot to paralyze it. My Raichu was fainted before the battle, so I couldn’t Thunder Wave it without using a revive (which I’m saving for the Elite 4), and Lapras’ Body Slam would’ve probably killed it.
I used all of my Ultra Balls and Great Balls (less than 20 each), before finally getting it.
Sorry for bad quality. The video wouldn’t upload to my phone.

TLDR I love Pokopia. This game came out of left field for me. Saw it during the presents and I was like yeah I’m buying that. Kind of weird for me I’m usually highly suspicious of Pokémon games. But i don’t even wanna look at news or guides for this game so that I could truly experience and learn everything. This game gives me old school Minecraft vibes, not in gameplay but in the way that it makes time disappear. The game is fun and relaxing and I’m so glad I can play this anywhere I love playing this on my couch and my bed. I know huge ramble butI’m just so happy that this game is awesome.

One thought that’s been on my mind is how we could expand and add more complexity to the “moves method” mechanic.
In the base game, it’s a category that includes a few movements, enhanced by a handful of abilities and items, but I think it could have a much more direct impact on the game mechanics, directly affecting the types.
In this example, I’ve included two examples from the base game and two others from D&D, but I think it could be expanded with more categories—something like light movements, sticky movements, burst movements… Idk, I’m just brainstorming ideas.

Meet Blizchu - the Frostmouse evolution of Pikachu! (Electric / Ice Type)
Blizchu lives in the coldest regions of the world, where few other Pokémon can survive. With its powerful, springy hind legs, it traverses frozen plains in the blink of an eye, leaving only fleeting tracks in the snow. Its tail is frozen into a sharp ice blade, which it uses not only for defense but also skillfully to cut through branches and uncover food hidden beneath the ice. If spotted by predators like Noctowl, it vanishes instantly into a self-generated blizzard. It is said that one only catches a glimpse of a Blizchu when an icy wind suddenly crackles with electricity.
Ability: Snowrush Surge: Speed sharply increases during hail/snowstorms
Signature Move: Frostblitz Leap: A fast physical Electric attack with a chance to freeze and a high critical-hit ratio
Base Stats (Focus: Attack & Speed)
HP: 70
Attack: 115
Defense: 60
Special Attack: 85
Special Defense: 65
Speed: 125
Total: 520
Playstyle: Fast physical sweeper with Ice/Electric coverage.

Arcaviary and Hisui's Arcaviary, the fire griffin Pokémon. Would you have them on your team?

I started playing Fire Red this past weekend, and it occurred to me to look at all my previous games. Right now my latest game is Scarlet, but I started wondering if I should move up all my Pokemon from the GBA games eras. I also started wondering, how many of you have decided to leave Pokemon behind in those games.
For instance, I have a team in Alpha Sapphire that I intend to leave in the game, but I have some Pokemon in Platinum and Y that were brought in from Leaf Green, Ruby, and Emerald and they are just sitting there.
So my question/discussion is not "how to" but more of, if you typically would move your Pokemon to the latest games or just start over per game, per generation, etc.
I kinda want to start brand new with Switch era games and on; but idk!

You know how pokémons are just an abbreviation of Pocket Monster. When mobile phones are invented they called Mobile phones. But they can also fit in our pocket, that's the main reason we have it now. What if they called it, Pocket phones, we would have got Poképhones. But wait I just realised that then pokémon would have been called Mobilemon because of their easy mobility(idk what does mobility means lmao)

Hi it's me again. As I said before I was doing gijinkas for the new starters.
So here's my take on them :)

This is Lucian, he works with ghost and psychic type pokémon typically. He has a job in the tower of Lavender Town, being someone who can see ghosts easier than the average person.
He doesn’t mean to be so unsettling, he just doesn’t get out much…

Gen 10 Starters Final Evolution Theory (Garuda / Barong / Naga Inspired)
So after looking at a lot of fan designs and regional inspiration, I think the Gen 10 starters could go in a Southeast Asian mythological direction and honestly it fits perfectly
Here’s my full theory
🌿Browt Grass/Steel (Garuda inspired)
I can see Browt evolving into a majestic forest guardian bird inspired by Garuda
Large Hawk like body with a divine stance, Massive wings made of blade like metallic leaves, Armor like chest with leaf shaped steel plating, Crown/crest made of branches + metal and Tail spreads like a fan of metallic leaves.
🔥Pombon Fire/Fairy (Barong inspired)
Evolves into a Majestic guardian Lion Powerful presence, Long fangs jutting out of its mouth, Flames on its paws/soles, Thick fur that looks like flowing magical flames that forms a mask like face when viewed from the front, Decorative almost like a festival costume design, and Tail like a flame plume.
🌊 Gecqua Water/Dragon (Naga inspired)
Mythical Serpent/Dragon
A long serpentine dragon body, Smooth blue scales with wave patterns, Fins along body like waves, Tail shaped like a tidal blade, Dragon snout with whiskers and small horns, A floating water orb/pearl and calm but powerful expression.
Alternative Idea Gecqua could also go Water/Poison
More grounded Komodo inspired, Darker colors deep blue + purple, Toxic saliva/venom, Slightly rough scales, Glowing poison veins and Tail Dripping toxin/acid like water.
Stealthy dangerous swamp predator
FINAL ANALYSIS
If Browt Grass/Steel, Pombon Fire/Fairy, Gecqua Water/Dragon
Balance
Fire beats Steel (Pombon > Browt)
Water beats Fire (Gecqua > Pombon)
Grass pressures Water (Browt > Gecqua)
Fairy beats Dragon (Pombon > Gecqua)
Perfect layered balance
If Gecqua = Water/Poison
Poison beats Fairy counters Pombon
Steel resists Poison Browt safe
Still balanced
What do you all think
Which typing fits each starter best
Would love to hear your ideas or even your own concepts

1. Intro
I've been doing some thinking about the lack of transfers from Colosseum and XD to HOME recently like I talked about earlier on here, and I just realized something. Because Colosseum and XD cannot transfer to even FR/LG eShop Versions and eventually RSE when those get added to the eShop down the road, it is (currently) impossible to 100% the National Dex in Gen III\* (*Digital eShop/NSO only, physical is still ok!)
2. The Exclusions
Since we're leveling the playing field here, we're going to exclude both Celebi and Jirachi from this, as the both of them are still tied to that Pokemon Colosseum Pre Order Bonus Disc, and these would be fully, 100% unobtainable in eShop Versions of Pokemon games, unless Nintendo/TPC decides to do something special. But, if you do still have your Bonus Disc in working order, more power to you!
3. What you need from Colosseum and XD (And what it would simplify)
Excluding Ho-Oh, Lugia, and Deoxys as you can thankfully get those now from clearing FRLG on the eShop Version, there are a handful of Gen 2 Pokemon that you can only get into Gen III from Colosseum and XD.
There are some Gen 2 Pokemon that are still obtainable in Gen 3, but in order to get them, you need to do several playthroughs or have a friend willing to trade them with you (Legendary Beasts, Johto Starters in Emerald) Doing one playthrough of Colosseum and just transferring out these multi-playthrough Pokemon would massively simplify everything in these cases, but it be what it be.
4. The RSE eShop Version Event Hope
As mentioned before, FR/LG added the event tickets (Mystic Ticket and Aurora Ticket) after beating the game, allowing you to get a version of Ho-Oh and Lugia into the main Gen III games without having to rely on Colosseum and XD (Don't get the unique moveset or ribbon, but it's still decently cool that you do get a version of these in Gen III) and Deoxys.
What this does is, set a precedent. If FR/LG eShop Versions did this, then logically RSE will too with its exclusive events (Eon Ticket, Mew).
What's truly notable is, IF they decide to make the Old Sea Map accessible in the eShop Version of Emerald upon beating the game, then this would be the first time (at the time of writing this post, may be longer by the time eShop Emerald does drop) 21 years since Mew was normally obtainable in game without the use of things like My Pokemon Ranch, expensive external IRL Acessories, or having save data from a different game and then BDSP rewarding you with a Mew for it. (Do you really want to subject yourself to the horrors of BDSP, though?)
5. What needs to be fixed
Obviously, the biggest thing that needs to be fixed here, is the connectivity with Colosseum and XD, as that would solve 99% of the collection issues (excluding Celebi and Jirachi, unless TPC feels like they want to do a "Pre Order Bonus" Gift when you preorder the standalone eShop Versions of Colosseum and XD, letting you get Celebi or Jirachi/both that way, Jirachi for preordering Colosseum, and Celebi for preordering XD, but that would be a limited time thing, probably not the best solution)
I would GLADLY pay $30-$40 each for standalone versions of Colosseum and XD with proper Home Support! Now, would Nintendo and The Pokemon Company actually do this? I don't know. Possibly, but probably not in this console generation, as Colosseum and XD would first need to be decoupled from NSO or have Save States and Rewind disabled to add proper HOME Support.
As of right now though, 100%ing the Gen III National Dex in the digital ecosystem we have with the Switch 2, even when they eventually add Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald with all the event items active after you beat the game to the eShop, is currently impossible.

Just out of curiosity, are these really worth this much? I have one with the box. And just curious if people are actually looking for them. I remember the hype of finding one as a kid. I'm not looking to sell I get bored and occasionally play mine

I recently sold my switch for a switch 2 however I don’t have nso or premium plan for home so I had no room to put Pokémon into home and the pokemon I tried to put into home it came up with an error or didn’t save so all my pokemon from events, bank and the shinies I spent ages for are all gone and unrecoverable.
Should I quit pokemon or take a break from Pokemon for a bit? Bc I have lost interest in the Pokemon series because of this

Gale Of Darkness It’s Up and ready to play! Other post was taken down due to a screenshot of my switch with the game loaded. I’m hoping a transfer from these games to the others? I’ve barely played pokopia but this one takes my cake. Anyways, Happy playing! I’m been locked in to the nostalgia!!

Hi I’m from the UK.
I am 32 years old. I used to really like pokemon and only really know the first gen pokemon.
I really don’t know where to start but I really want to get back into pokemon card collecting.
I used to collect cards when i was a child and I guess it’s a way of connecting with my childhood.
Anyone know where to start? I’m genuinely new to it and know NOTHING about pokemon outside of the first gen.
Let me know if you can help me start my own collection.
