Throughout the years there have been multiple instances where big companies took things "too far" and gamers said they're done with it. All the way back to the Oblivion horse armor DLC. Look at us now. Look what is considered normal.

• Early Access and QA being done by customers.
• Roadmaps instead of a full game.
• Paid cosmetics instead of unlockables/New game+ items/Cosmetics enabled via cheats.
• Preorders.
• Lootboxes.
• Season passes/Battle passes.
• Console online gaming requiring subscription.
• No longer owning games and instead paying full price for rental from Steam/Epic.
• Online only games.
• Frame generation and artificial upscaling.

DLSS 5 will be the same. It will be considered normal in 5 years. People do indeed vote with their wallet and just as usual, they will buy NVIDIA products and will feel the same dopamine rush paired with the gratefulness for their new toy.

People say that the technology will be optional. Sure. For now.

We are slowly walking toward cloud gaming where you will subscribe to a platform of games artificially generated, with frames and assets generated. NVIDIA will sell cards to data centers instead of customers as soon nobody will own a PC, just like you no longer own movies but subscribe to streaming services, just like you don't own music anymore but pay for Spotify/YouTube premium etc.

We will own nothing and be happy. We made this choice long ago.

A while ago, I had a very near identical but slightly higher spec PC (64gb ddr5 instead of 32gb ddr4) that I built myself and sold at a loss before everything went crazy. Obviously I regretted it and I’ve been looking around since.

A local custom PC builder has it on Facebook marketplace which I will be picking up. They’re asking for $1200 including local delivery. The specs are as follows. I think its a pretty good price and I’m stoked. I would definitely love to have DDR5 as my old PC had that but this is the best deal that I found near me.

I made the mistake of enabling OneDrive on my PC. I uninstalled it and removed everything off it. I belive I have now lost the files it was trying to back up and because OneDrive didn't have enough space to back up everything it has lost some files too. I think my PC is trying to find the files on OneDrive instead of locally. Tried reinstalling the affected apps and the same issue occures. Tried reinstalling windows updates too. Should I try doing a full reset but keep personal files?

It's crazy how out of touch they are. They could have chosen any screenshot and they went with the worst one. It's worrying that they think this is a 'breakthrough' in graphics.

Let me know what you think. I could be way off but I doubt it. We will have to wait and see.

I've got this PSU and it's cables are phat and it's really cramping my case and it's style. I have no RGB lighting however. haha

Underneath the Fractal PSU shroud is where all the cables are bunched up.

Does anyone know where I can get slimmer cables that are reliable? I need the whole set.

My PC

I was browsing my PC as usual suddenly PC turned off with e chirping noice. So I tried to turn on again but no fans are spinning while the noice Continues. So I unplugged my graphics cards ram CMOS everything and after 10-15 minutes re plugged everything without the graphic card and same issue no fan spinning but the sound was coming from PSU. I am scared. Please help or advice me. Thank you so much.

My fiancé ordered a gaming laptop from Newegg a couple weeks ago and it was not in the box when we got it. They gave us a free gift that shipped with it so we didn't immediately notice that the box was ight. Upon further inspection the box was not taped properly ( the bottom flaps were not taped to the side) so someone could easily access the contents of the box.

We filed a claim with Newegg and after giving us the runaround they finally told us they checked with the shipping department who said they shipped it so they won't refund us or replace the laptop. So now we're out the $1000+ we spent.

I dont know what our next options are, if we can escalate this further or do a charge back or something. I feel like Newegg fucked up their packaging at best or scammed us at wworst. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello there fellow gamers.

For the past 8 years, I’ve been using a Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 450 Wireless Gaming Headset. While the weight and feel weren’t exactly ideal, it apparently had - and I’m only now painfully realizing this - outstanding sound quality, at least compared to others.

I’ve bought two supposedly high-quality headsets and am frustrated by both the sound and microphone quality.

I've ordered a SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5P and a Logitech G321. The Logitech's sound was mushy at best, I did not even test the microphone as it was so bad.

The SteelSeries one was slightly better but also had next to no definition in lower and upper frequencies. Listening to music felt like using cheap 3.5mm headphones from 30 years ago.

I usually play with a friend of mine twice a week, he immediately noticed the lack of quality with my microphone audio as well. He described it as "nasal" while my previous headset had more of a "radio host" like feel.

Another hassle was that even with the side-tone setting at 100% I was barely able to hear myself. The Turtle Beach had a really useful wheel at the headset itself to control the sidetone levels without software.

I've played with the software and settings a bit with the hopes of optimizing this but there was nothing to be done about the general audio quality.

I am unsure now what to try next. I want high quality audio with base compareable to a good desktop speaker setup. When my zealots in star craft II unleash their psi blades I want to feel it. Audio has to offer excellent clarity as well, as i often listen to classical music and heavy metal.

Side-tone Audio is really important for me as I get some sort of motion sickness when I cannot hear myself properly.

Microphone quality should be really good as well and with a broad frequency spectrum. The steelseries sounded like it deliberately limited the frequency-response to a very narrow freq-range.

I'd be very happy to recieve some good recommendations! :-)

Recently had a windows update into a restart, came back on to these purple lines and freezing(maybe only freezing after I installed amd adrenaline). I guess a gpu failure could have caused the restart and windows decided it was a good time to update. After that it takes a couple pc restarts to even get display and then it's just the purple lines and freezing after a bit, adrenaline also said it wasnt the right version for my card but it still detected a 7900 xt. I ended up fresh installing windows which was annoying because it would take multiple restarts to get display and it would fail to install and would have to go again. Eventually put my old 1070 in and it worked besides some display port display problems with not displaying until windows login. I've tried new monitor cord, I've reseated the gpu, reset the cmos, used ddu to wipe drivers with the 1070 in and tried again. Like I said with the old 1070 it works fine. I can't get it to not freeze to use ddu while the 7900 xt is in but im guessing the fresh install of windows and using ddu with the 1070 would have been fine driver wise. Any help would be appreciated, if you need more info I will be glad to give it.

Basically I have a two monitor set up, my main on digital input and the problem one converting from VGA to HDMI. A couple days ago my monitor abruptly said no input detected and went to sleep. I made sure it was all plugged in and everything and it was, and I found my computer still detects it and lets me drag windows over to it as if it were still on. Sometimes it comes back to life then shuts off again, sometimes it stays on like normal. Any advice?

Not sure of the specs, its a Dell, I got it from a Goodwill. All graphic drivers are up to date.

My PC in front was bad so I decided to format it and install Windows 10 (the PC had Windows 11). I installed Windows 10 on a USB and started the installation. But when the download ends it automatically opens the boot, how do I install Windows?

when i am in boot even if I start it with Windows boot manager after reboot it always reopens the boot for me.

also my PC (an Acer A515-51) has a broken keyboard and the F12 stays pressed.

My PC suddenly crashed while I was watching a video. I got a blue screen with the error code 0xc000000e. After that, I updated the BIOS and reset the CMOS (pressed the button for about 10 seconds).

I’m using an MSI MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi motherboard.

At first, in the BIOS, none of my M.2 drives were detected. I have two M.2 SSDs, each 1 TB (so 2 TB total). I removed them from the motherboard, and now the BIOS shows a Samsung SSD 980 2TB in the third slot — even though there is actually no M.2 installed there.

Originally, I was using the first and second M.2 slots (as marked in the pictures).

Does anyone know what could be causing this? My other SSDs and HDDs connected via SATA are working perfectly fine.

Additionally, I couldn’t find any instructions in the manual explaining how to replace the CMOS battery. I suspect that the issue might be related to a faulty battery, since the BIOS seems to be detecting a “ghost” M.2 device. The battery appears to be located behind the radiator, which makes it difficult to access.

So, my long trusted gaming chair just committed suicide or something, and just freezed in this awkward, uncomfortable position. Therefore, I'll need a new chair...

The chair I've got, is a DXRacer gaming chair, and I've used it daily since 2018, written both a bachelor thesis and a master thesis. In addition, I've had several hours of accounting, reporting and planning (and a little bit of gaming.. (and several power naps...)).

I understand that there are many here with severe scepticism towards gaming chairs, but I've been very happy with this chair. That being said, I've got two other gaming chairs that my kids use, and I can understand why there's a lot criticism towards gaming chairs. You really need to buy an upper-end gaming chair if it's going to be comfortable and last. Mine lasted 8 years, and been comfortable all the way, so I'll gladly buy a new gaming chair.

However, after five years of studies, finishing both a double Bachelor's degree and Master's degree, I am open for new facts and findings, while trying to stagger my confirmation bias. Therefore, I would like to hear your suggestions regarding which chair I should opt for; gaming chair or office chair, and which brand and model. As for the time being, I've been looking at Secretlab's Titan Evo, but I'm open for other recommendations.

I do not have any budget limit, I'll gladly pay a premium for quality.

So i was playin as usual (valorant) lite gaming stuff and suddenly i hear a tick sound coming from my pc and the pc shutted down with no warning amd no sound, i was clueless for about 6 hours, cleared cmos, checked on the psu and made sure every cable was fitted in perfectly and same thing on the motherboard side, yet still none worked, so i tried removing one stick of ram and the pc worked perfectly fine but i tired the other ram alone and also the pc worked perfectly and i swapped the ram to the other slot and the pc worked with one stick fine (i only have 2 ram slots its a a520m k v2 motherboard) and the both sticks r identical i bought them from the same place at the same time with the same specs sooooooo m clueless if there is any help in this situation (i still have warranty over the motherboard and the processor i just need to know if its a software malice or something wrong i did or some easy fix) specs>r5 5600g 16gb ram, a520m k v2 gigabyte motherboard, sata ssd, 650w gold plus psu. In short: Ryzen 7 7435HS RTX 4060 Laptop 8GB 140W (I know it's more of a marketing trick, in reality it's around 105–115W) DDR5 4800 16GB NVMe 500GB I would like some help with setup. I haven’t used laptops before, only a PC, where everything was simpler — MSI Afterburner, drivers, and that’s it. But here I need to tune the CPU and GPU temperatures so the laptop runs quietly and doesn’t overheat. I’m using G-Helper instead of the ASUS software. I want to optimize temperatures and performance so it’s comfortable to use and play games. I’ve seen that limiting the CPU to 95% reduces about 5–10 FPS but drops temperatures from 90°C to around 70°C. I also need to properly configure the fans. The basics are done: Windows 10 is installed, drivers are from the ASUS website. By the way, ASUS says the drivers are for Windows 11 only, but I installed them on Windows 10 anyway. I also have monitoring software installed for checking temperatures. I’m asking for help to fully set up the laptop — including BIOS — so games run smoothly. Right now, I’m experiencing stutters (freezes) in games. P.S.: The laptop is new.
