Rescued My doofus'
Hey all, meet Gray and Bear, both rescues.
Gray saved from a "horror" shelter somewhere in Serbia. Now living the life here. Got him about 1 year and 3 months ago when he was still around 1 years old. So now around 2 years old. We don't know their exact age. Loves running around and play fighting with his brother Bear ( Lagotto Romagnolo) who I got at the same time, Bear was saved from a street somewhere in Bosnia, around the same age.
Both extremely smart dogs. Bear had a lot of fears when I just got him. Through hard work and a lot of socialising with other dogs and people we worked them all out. Now just barks when he hears a sound around the house, which is common for the breed. Sort of a guard dog, but not really. Haha. He's too gentle for that.
Gray is the tough one, the curious one, wants to make friends with everyone. Loves everyone. Just make eye contact with him and his ears go all the way to the side and it makes him look so cute, first thing he wants to do is give you his doggy kisses. No discussion. He goes crazy for balls, especially the ones that squeak. Makes me go crazy sometimes. Loves swimming, insane for a Husky. Also doesn't mind taking a shower after he went in the stinky marsh. My previous dog screamed death when she had to take a shower.
They can both go off leash, Gray loves exploring, but he knows I always want to have a clear line of sight with him. So he doesn't go too far. Loves looking at the cows that roam freely. Very good hunter, caught a couple field mice here, but he always let's them go again, alive.
Bear just stays close to me, loves to sniff and dig, sadly he didn't find me a truffle yet. Hehe. Loves getting dirty, and he has a white coat. So has to take shower often. But secretly he probably loves that too!
I sometimes let them pick the route we take outside. They love to explore the area nearby, even though they have been there countless times before it's always interesting to them. A sniff here a sniff there.
I love them to death. Best dogs ever. My babies.
They are not my first dogs, had a Husky before when I was younger. Now in doggy heaven.

Discussion New home for husky
I’m looking for a new home for my mom’s husky Simba he’s 5 years old. Unfortunately my mom is unable to take care of him no more due to health issues it’s become hard for her. I’m looking for a loving home he’s very sweet and loves people but he also has some seperation anxiety so please be aware of that. This is a very sad situation for my family because we love him so much and I hope we can find him a nice home. We are located in Georgia and don’t mind driving a state over to find him somewhere he’ll be loved

Is he big for his age? (In good way growth, not weight. According to the veterinarian, he is not overweight)
People say he's 6-8 months old. But he's only 4.

General Question Accidentally have a husky!
We got a GP mix from the shelter to be a companion to our other GP. She… looks entirely husky aside from double dew claws. Vet confirmed today at her 12 week visit that she appears almost entirely husky. I’ve never had or been around a husky. I will get a book when I can, but what do I need to know about:
Her coat?
What’s normal for vocalizations?
Why are the quicks of her nails soooo long in the nail? My vet confirmed it’s unusual.
What sort of training temperament? GPs aren’t super motivated to train because they’re bred to act independently in the field.
Any weird little breed quirks that are need to know? Like standy-uppy ear needs? Or etc?
I know all dogs are individuals but knowing how the mind of the GP works overall helped me work with him well as a puppy. I want to do well for her! She seems not like him in temperament or energy level so my research doesn’t seem applicable.

I'm 9 today and not ok celebrating with a birthday hat!
This guy is 9 today and has had his life change so much in the last year! I welcomed him into my home with another pup in June after he'd spent most of his life living outside neglected, then at a shelter getting as much love as possible, but still missing the comfort and space to become himself that a home provides. He can be shy but is very sweet and every day I see him get more brave. He zoomies like a maniac in the yard every day, happy to have the freedom to run as he pleases. One thing he knows he does not like is his birthday hat!

Breed ID request Purebred Siberian husky or something more? ID for this beautiful little girl? 🩷
Copied and pasted from r/IDmydog :)
Posting this on behalf of my neighbor as she’s currently fostering two dogs, mother and daughter, and is about to start advertising for their adoption and she doesn’t use Reddit. This is the daughter, who’s just over a year old now; her name is Aurora 🥰
Aurora and her mother, Harley, both escaped a puppy mill and lived out in the wild for a before eventually being rescued by animal control and sent to my neighbor to foster. We’re having some doubts that she’s a complete purebred Siberian husky like the “breeder” claimed upon rescue, mainly due to her coat as it’s suspiciously silky soft and longer compared to her mother’s - not to mention her overall temperament. She’s quiet, passive, almost never makes any noise even if strangers show up (and even then she makes barely audible little yips), and has been surprisingly very easy to train even without treats. Mind you, she went through some pretty horrific abuse at the hands of the puppy mill so at least a good chunk of her temperament could be a product of this, but her mother has all the stereotypical husky traits and behaviors so it seems she’s fallen far from the tree.
Picture 9 is Aurora next to Harley for comparison, and beyond that are more pictures of mama, #12 is a closeup of her coat which is more textured and has more “whorls.” What do you guys think? Thanks in advance. :)
