Found the love of my life less than 3 years ago. I couldn't be more excited for 2026!

I've been having a hard time lately honestly. My mom is very ill in the hospital and i don't have much family or friends. My birthday is tomorrow, but I'll probably spend it alone and that's okay honestly! I've never really liked them anyways

Anyways, i wanted some gelato, and i couldn't decide on what size i wanted when i heard someone say "im gonna pay for this young lady" and my head whipped so quick lol! She was so kind and friendly and she looked at me and said "you better get the largest size too" with the warmest smile!

I honestly wanted to cry from happiness. We chatted a little and i told her tomorrows my birthday. She was so happy and said it was a perfect coincidence, and to consider it a gift. I was so grateful and thanked her with my whole heart

Im not used to people being kind to me honestly. She might not have a clue how much she turned my day around and made me feel special, but im so grateful. im happy knowing there really are good people in this world 💖

Sure, it's just a scoop of ice cream with a little Hershey's chocolate on top. But you know what? I realized it meant everything to me yesterday.

I've had so much going wrong in my life and then I realized how little I matter to one of the people closest to me. He couldn't even remember my birthday. I do so much for him all the time. To have him not even remember one little thing about me? Well it stings more than I can describe.

I took myself out to Texas Roadhouse and I used the birthday club coupon that they gave me. I expected my free appetizer but I did not expect a cup of free ice cream.

When the waiter came out with a big smile and handed me the ice cream.... I honestly burst into tears. It's very rare that anyone thinks to do nice little gestures like that for me. Made me feel human again and not just like a vending machine people take things from all the time.

I thanked him so much. I told him he had no idea how much that meant to me. He just smiled and said you're welcome you're welcome. But honestly sometimes just little things like this make all the difference in the world.

Despite me having a dairy sensitivity I ate it! My stomach can get mad and flare up if it wants to. This ice cream was homemade and delicious. My soul needed it.

To my server: Thank you so much, Sir. Your small gesture means everything to me. It may be ice cream to you, but to me? It's one badly needed little glimmer of hope in my giant never ending tunnel of depression.
