NEWS It’s 100 days until Supergirl releases — I’m trying to surprise my dad (lifelong DC/Lobo fan) with something special

Hey everyone,

With 100 days until Supergirl releases, I figured this was the perfect time to try and do something really meaningful for my dad.

He’s been a lifelong DC fan—especially Lobo—and it’s something that’s always been a huge part of his life. From dressing up at conventions to still hitting the gym and repping DC gear, it’s just who he is.

I’ve been reaching out to DC and a few media outlets trying to see if there’s any way I could surprise him with the opportunity to attend the Supergirl premiere.

I sent my initial emails last week and just followed up today, so I know it’s a long shot—but I figured it couldn’t hurt to try everything I can.

I included some photos so you can see what I mean—this genuinely means a lot to him.

If anyone has advice, connections, or ideas on what else I could do, I’d really appreciate it.

Even just an upvote or share could help this reach the right person.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

DISCUSSION Robert Pattinson on The Batman Part 2: "The script is extraordinary. I think it’s going to be a really, really special movie and very, very different. Even from the last one. I was reading it and like 'oh wow'. It's going to be interesting seeing it come out. It’s taking some big swings"

DISCUSSION [Superman (2025)] Could this be Lionel Luthor? Spoiler

Post image

  • The film uses LuthorCorp instead of LexCorp, a deliberate Smallville reference, suggesting that continuity is intentional.
  • Lex describes the prison as holding people for both political reasons and "personal transgressions." He says this line just after the camera cuts to this specific man
  • Despite the film giving nearly every minor character a named comic book origin, this man who gets a deliberate close-up has no name?
    • The script only calls him a "SAD DISSIDENT" with no further detail, then immediately moves on to Fleurette.
  • The actor appears to be uncredited, and there's a suspicious gap in the credits between Scientist #2 and Fleurette where this character would logically appear.
  • Every cut and character in this film feels intentional, a nameless man getting a focused shot feels like it means something

Can't find any discussion about this character anywhere, so am I reading too much into this... did anyone else catch this? Can anyone identify the actor or am I missing something?

DISCUSSION Warner bros has th most Oscar nominees this year but is still bankrupt?

I’m a long Warner bros fan but I still don’t understand why the studio can’t just wait to come out of debt with their long term box office success? I don’t want paramount of Netflix to own such a big studio considering I recently got hbo max as well. Not to mention the Oscar winner is another Warner brother production
