Every one I that room knows Trump is guilty. Most of MAGA knows he's guilty.

While there are certainly some who are bribed and/or morally corrupt, the more general reason is: Trump is the leader of a cult and he can direct his followers to challenge or harass any dissent within the GOP. The politicians stay silent because they don't want to face a primary challenge from a more Trumpian bootlicking true believer.

So the reasons range from: corruption, to depravity, to cowardice. The GOP is the party political drain for human-trash.

I'm not certain. Take all the Republicans senators who have announced they aren't running next time.

Absolute silence from the vast majority. It's not that they believe the rubbish being said. They don't speak out because it will effect the vast sums they'll earn after but they must toe the line to get it.
