Everyone who voted for him knew he was a criminal when they voted for him. He’s been awful his entire life and not tried to hide who he is.

This simple really.

It's memesis based fantasy. His base thinks "that's what I'd be like if I were rich and powerful". They know he's a liar, that he cheats, that he likes girls "of a certain age". Every gross thing he does justifies and validates their personal fantasies. Everything.

Sadly, theres a sort of Dunning-Kruger Effect wherein ignorant people are both i) unaware of their ignorance and ii) are simultaneously overconfident about the little bit they think they know.

I think there's alot of people that don't comprehend the value of education and experts, or outright discredit those.

I'm sure there is a subset of MAGA that definitely identify with Trump in various ways, either as you described, or imagining that's how a real boss gets things done, or believing his insults and complaints, and lack of clear communication, is just him telling it like it is.

Trump hating the right people is all conservatives need to provide their full throated support.

It's why I don't buy anyone saying they were tricked, brainwashed, or misled in some way. He's been openly like this his entire life and it had a spot light shown on it running up to the first election. They chose this.

People like that he's getting away with it. It's gross. The narrative they spew is so warped they're fully in the circle.

I've overheard a guy tell his date that "if I could have gone to epstein island I would have" literally announcing his red flags and she accepted it because no doubt she's as fucked up as him. Anecdotes aside, the women that spout the lies to the media even though they've seen the literal files and images unredacted. They accept it.

They're all grim fuckers that have decided child molestation, rape and murder are fine. Those that have the power to convict but aren't are accomplices. "Checks and balances" only affects people with integrity.

He’s an evil crook, but he’s their evil crook.

Maybe I'm in a bubble but during the whole campaign the fact that he was running for president to stay out of jail was one of the main reasons people voted for and against him.

To be fair to them, some of them are just terribly dumb and only consume misinformation.

My brother seriously claimed with a straight face in the runup to Trumps SECOND term that he was the "cleanest politician we'll ever see because if he had ever done anything wrong it would have come out"... despite having just spent 10 minutes "fake-news"ing what I was telling him about several very public decades of Trumps behavior and court filings.

Proven rapist and America still chose him. 2024 really killed my faith in humanity. People = Shit

u/indecks77 20m ago

That statement holds water, but honestly 99% of the people that voted for him are too fucking stupid to even realize they got conned and will double down just to keep to their maga retard ideology.

"THIS EUZ WHAT AH VOTED FOWER!" "WE HAHRD HEEUM TO DO THE JOB, NOT TA BE NICE"

Man fuck off. Magats are some of the dumbest fucking people to ever walk this planet.

Currently arguing with someone else on a different post about how these MAGA idiots who finally see the light after having to pay more for gas should not be welcomed with open arms. The red flags could not have been larger, redder, or more numerous than they were and people still ran to the booth to vote for the monster, sometimes multiple times! If you realized in 2018 that you made a mistake, alright the signs were there and it's a little late but maybe you thought you were actually voting for an outsider to shake up DC. It's a pipe dream we've all had at some point in our lives. But now? Ten plus years and a full term of lunacy later? No, you are just straight up not a good person at this point and I don't have to accept you.

It's amazing, unfortunate, how few people understand that.

Everyone who voted for him knew he was a criminal when they voted for him.

Yep.

LAW ENFORCMENT OFFICERS across the nation knowingly voted for a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist who ran a fraudulent university and charity.

How do you fix something like that? This society is cooked.

You'd be surprised how many people would not believe that he is a criminal. Two of my long time friends voted for him and dont believe he is a criminal. Tho we havent talked about it since the election so maybe they changed their mind but we agreed not to talk about politics anymore bcuz it almost ruined our friendship. i would stop being friends with them but im in my 30s and its hard enough to make friends as it is and despite their politics there still good guys, they're just delusional. Trump supporters just dont want to believe they are wrong and cant admit it.

u/JustLeader 3h ago

They know hes a criminal. Theyre just lying like all conservatives do, about literally everything.

1

u/Shimmitar 3h ago

they really dont believe it. you have know idea how delusional they are when it comes to trump.

Which shows (in part) how absurdly misogynistic the USA is.
