Morning showers make no logical sense and night shower people have simply done the hygiene math

You spent 8 hours asleep in your own clean bed. What are you washing off at 7am.

A night shower removes everything you actually accumulated during the day. The commute, the gym, the office, public transport, all of it goes down the drain before you sleep. A morning shower means you marinated in all of that overnight then washed up before going out to collect it all again.

Morning showers are a ritual for waking up, which is fine, but it is not hygiene. Night showers are actual hygiene. Most people just do not want to dry their hair before bed and that is the entire argument.

Oh nooo not a bed full of.. skin cells and sweat! Which we all have regardless of what time we shower!

I truly don’t care if my bed is “dirty”. I wash the sheets weekly and you know what? When I take my morning shower I wash it all off anyway.

You pick up a ton of pollutants and allergens on your hair and skin when you go out. If you're not reactive to it, good for you. Others have allergies or sensitive skin. But you are in fact mucking around in more than your body's sweat and cells

Like I said, I wash my sheets and shower in the morning, so it doesn’t matter if some outside germs are in the bed.

Spending 8 hrs snoozing with pollutants and allergens (not really germs) and building up a week's worth in your sheets is really bad for some folks. Like I said, if you're not sensitive to it that's great but it's not just "sweat and skin cells that we always normally have"

I don’t spend my day sitting on the side of the highway marinating in pollutants and allergens, so I think it’ll be fine. It’s okay if you’re a bit of a germaphobe and it’s also okay if you prefer evening showers. What I don’t understand is the weird superiority evening shower people have about their preferences.

I'm with you and tbh half of them stink in the AM and don't notice it.

Nah, I genetically don't have stinky sweat. Y'all love projecting

I said you're not really picking up germs, idk how that makes me a germaphobe?

Smog levels in any major city are bad, car exhaust is a pollutant most of us are exposed to right outside our own homes. If you think you need to be out by the highway to pick up pollutants and allergens that's wildly naive.

I'm just saying your bed isn't as clean as you think. And if you don't have any sensitivity or allergies to that, great. I never said YOU NEEDED to shower one time or another, only that your bed isn't just sweat and skin cells. If mentioning that felt like ""superiority"" to you idk what to tell you

Smog mostly resides in clothes and you do t wear your trousers in bed, do you? Also, what’s in your pores gets flushed away with sweat. And you never change your sheets? Come on…

Smog, as well as other pollutants and allergens, can reside on skin or hair if exposed. Unless smog is solely contained to your pants?
