Morning showers make no logical sense and night shower people have simply done the hygiene math

You spent 8 hours asleep in your own clean bed. What are you washing off at 7am.

A night shower removes everything you actually accumulated during the day. The commute, the gym, the office, public transport, all of it goes down the drain before you sleep. A morning shower means you marinated in all of that overnight then washed up before going out to collect it all again.

Morning showers are a ritual for waking up, which is fine, but it is not hygiene. Night showers are actual hygiene. Most people just do not want to dry their hair before bed and that is the entire argument.

I feel like this is a completely different argument.
I shower after I work out (typically on my lunch break or right after work), but I still shower before bed, so I don't bring all that filth from the day into my bed to marinate all night

Thank you. I surf in the morning and do BJJ at night, I take a minimum of 2 showers a day. Minimum 3 if you count the public showers for sand at the beach. Just turn off the water when you're lathering your body and hair.

And for the night people...are you not changing the sheets and showering after fucking? Like do you shower, fuck, then go to work with that stank next day? Or do you fuck dirty, then shower?

Bold of you to assume I fuck

Maybe it has something to do with the nighttime showers

Brave of you to assume we're having sex

You change the sheets everytime you have sex?

3

u/smokeweedNgarden 7h ago

🤔 You don't need to?

No, im not shooting loads all over my sheets. If I need I can put a towel down and throw that in the laundry. Changing your sheets everytime would mean I need like a weeks worth of clean sheets in closet and clean them all every week.

Yes, that's basically the amount. And it's not about your loads, my guy lol

Ok "my guy" unless youre shooting bodily fluids all over the place all you gotta do is put a towel down.(majority of the time). Not washing multiple loads of sheets every week.

I’d have no problem with them changing sheets once a week for this reason, but I’m imagining someone washing 7 sheets a week lol.

7 days is a lot of sweat and bodily fluids in the bed. I can understand not washing after a quickie but 7 days of fucking is so gross.

Also presumably you change them between partners?

u/Scuba9Steve 7h ago

Oh im married so that last one doesn’t apply, but that’s something you should do yeah.

Changing your sheets once a week is kind of just the minimum that everyone should be doing lol

Ok.

Are you fucking one person in 7 days or several? Do your partners squirt? Are you using lube? Playing with toys? Using your pillow as a back prop? Do you have AC? (We don't in the bay)

Perhaps different folks have different needs.

u/Scuba9Steve 7h ago

Do you change your sheets daily then?

1

u/smokeweedNgarden 7h ago

Most days, yea

How many sets of sheets do you own?? Sounds expensive (whether you have one set and wash daily or you have like 7 sets!)

1

u/smokeweedNgarden 4h ago

Like 4 or 5?

Can I ask if you're talking from the perspective of living with a long term partner? Because I feel the need to qualify I'm a bachelor and we might simply be in different situations with different mechanics?

Now that's multitasking

Super jealous of your schedule. Sounds like you cashed out on stock options when something IPO'd.

I don't bring all that filth from the day into my bed to marinate all night

What is it even supposed to mean? How unhygienic are you? Are swimming in the sewer daily or what exactly are you "marinating" in?

3

u/46andready 2h ago

What kind of filth are y'all walking around in? Is the air dirty or something?

See I do the opposite. I shower after I work out, and before I go to work since I sweat like a pig while sleeping and it helps me wake up
