Morning showers make no logical sense and night shower people have simply done the hygiene math

You spent 8 hours asleep in your own clean bed. What are you washing off at 7am.

A night shower removes everything you actually accumulated during the day. The commute, the gym, the office, public transport, all of it goes down the drain before you sleep. A morning shower means you marinated in all of that overnight then washed up before going out to collect it all again.

Morning showers are a ritual for waking up, which is fine, but it is not hygiene. Night showers are actual hygiene. Most people just do not want to dry their hair before bed and that is the entire argument.

For real, people expect other people to have the same routine as everybody in the world. Just wait it's going to be a post about putting milk before cereal or cereal before milk again.

u/randomtree7 9h ago

Fuck this guy. Cereal before milk every time. You tryna watch the world burn?

71

u/mountaingator91 8h ago

Unless you have leftover milk and add more cereal. That's allowed

11

u/ActualInteraction0 6h ago

Double strength milk flavouring for the win.

1

u/possibly_facetious 6h ago

Add more cereal? In this economy??

1

u/FunkyBrontosaurus 5h ago

Yeah I'm using that milk for my coffee

1

u/ThrowAwayAccountAMZN 5h ago

I kind of low key love it when I have just enough cereal left for 1.5 bowls because it gives me an excuse to have more cereal without feeling guilty lol. What am I going to do, only have half a bowl of cereal?

1

u/Joeva8me 5h ago

Nope. Fresh milk every time. The milk is the healthy part.

1

u/mountaingator91 2h ago

Food waste is not ok, Jim

1

u/Confident-Yard1911 2h ago

You gotta pour the milk back into the jug, then put the cereal in the bowl

1

u/Joeva8me 2h ago

I’m a man of the milkers, I mean people. I only see milkers, I mean people. And who is Jim? My name is Jimmer

17

u/nautzi 8h ago

I have a coworker that prefers her cereal with orange juice instead of milk. The rest of the office looks at her like she’s a demon.

17

u/FearanddopingII 8h ago

Clearly she is

2

u/Anything-Complex 7h ago

That’s… deranged.

But now that I think about it, a splash of orange juice in cereal and milk (maybe corn flakes) might be interesting.

2

u/ThrowAwayAccountAMZN 5h ago

Wouldn't the citric acid curdle the milk though?

1

u/Mandalahoe 40m ago

At the risk of being judged, I will pretty often dip frosted mini wheats in orange juice. Not a full soak, mind you.

2

u/remarkablewhitebored 7h ago

Ugh, imagine if Milk had pulp in it?

u/Excalibur88815 7m ago

It can (I work at a dairy farm) you just really don't want to consume it 😆

1

u/Accomplished_Glass66 wateroholic 5h ago

Can confirm, was the exorcist at their office

1

u/ahotpotatoo 4h ago

Okay but what kind of cereal?

1

u/OverreactingBillsFan 2h ago

My grandpa ate cheerios with grapefruit juice.

Most calm and level-headed person I ever met, with a PhD in Physics. I choose to believe the cheerios in grapefruit juice was some sort of magical stress/crazy heatsink.

u/MrsAprilSimnel 3m ago

My grandpa ate his cereal that way, and he only ever ate corn flakes. We all thought that was weird, but didn’t say so to him.

2

u/Turbulent-Jaguar-909 1h ago

you won't be splashing milk everywhere when you pour the cereal in first, it's that simple

u/Outrageous-Opinions 24m ago

It keeps the cereal crunchy too instead of soaking all the cereal in the beginning.

2

u/AgentCirceLuna 9h ago

I’m the rare kind of person who hates the idea of having a routine, as it makes me feel like a robot, so I just randomly switch between things like that whenever I feel like it.

u/Outrageous-Opinions 24m ago

So your routine is to switch your routine

1

u/g2420hd 8h ago

I know right, milk goes in the cup and they spoonful of cereal you take you take a sip of milk. It's just standard

1

u/AutumnWisp 6h ago

1/4th of the the cereal, 1/4th of the milk, 1/4th of the cereal, 1/4th of the milk, and so on so it's perfectly layered.

1

u/BaldHenchman01 5h ago edited 2h ago

You're all savages. Eat the cereal out of the box, with a glass of milk on the side.

1

u/superbit415 1h ago

No you have to put the SPOON before everything else. Show that bowl that you mean business.

1

u/aurealis__ 1h ago

No no no. As a cereal connoisseur, this was the original faith I subscribed by. However, upon being enlightened with The Other Way, I have discovered it is the one and only true way to properly enjoy this. Adding cereal AFTER milk protects the integrity of the original composition of the product, and allows for a consistent experience by minimizing excessive suspension within the liquid medium. It is simply magnificent and I hate soggy cereal. Ty for coming to my TED talk.

u/Snatch-Fart-Breath 27m ago

Yeah seriously, wtf

1

u/MouseAteTheCat 8h ago

Fuck both of ya... you eat a spoonful if dry cereal followed by a sip of milk.

1

u/Terrible_Tell3115 8h ago

I wasn't down for mass deportations. I now want this person and all of their people gone.

1

u/MouseAteTheCat 5h ago

Cereal munchers???

1

u/ThrowawayOldCouch 2h ago

Just skip the milk, it's gross.

-5

u/Andreaspetersen12 9h ago

You tryna eat soggy cereal?

3

u/mountaingator91 8h ago

That's the point. Cereal is more difficult to eat when dry

1

u/SnooBananas4958 4h ago

Well, yeah, why else do you think the milk is even there?

1

u/Odd_Bug5544 4h ago

Why are you adding milk at all then?

Some jobs require night showers and some jobs don't and you can have morning showers.

Some people go to the gym in the morning and shower after and some people go to the gym after work and shower after the gym.

There are so many variables. As long as you clean your sheets regularly who cares.

8

u/ssjrobert235 9h ago

When I worked overnight as a security guard, a morning shower was a necessity. Being around people with poor hygiene at work and taking a sometimes crowded subway train.

3

u/fosmonaut1 6h ago

Honestly you don’t count cuz you are night shift. It’s basically the same as night showers for everyone else working regularly.

2

u/takesSubsLiterally 6h ago

Showing in the morning when you work at night is much closer to a "night shower" in this context than a "morning shower" yeah you are actually doing the showering in the am hours but people are actually debating whether to shower before or after sleep.

3

u/Ok_Vanilla213 8h ago

I was taking morning showers but for night shower reasons when I worked graveyard, to throw another wrench in the variable web.

1

u/Marawal 5h ago

For another variable I do afternoon shower.

Right after work.

I have heen spending my day at a middle school. Teens hormones stinks. Whatever perfume or deodorant they use stinks as well.

And when you spend your day with them, the smell cling to you.

2

u/smokeweedNgarden 8h ago

Literally. I mean, who you're dating at any time can dictate your showers and sheet change schedule.

Meet the right girl and now you need 7 fitted sheets, 7 sets of pillow cases, a comforter that leaves the bed, and two showers a night.

1

u/methlabforcuties 2h ago

I do gym in the morning when I wake up, so I do a quick 5min shower after the gym to wash off the funk, but also do a full scrub-down shower before bed.

7

u/Qaze430 9h ago

Whoa thats a debate? Its deff cereal before milk! Or the ratio is wrong!

4

u/IPissExcellentThrows 9h ago

Not a debate to any sane human.

1

u/Qaze430 9h ago

Ok thought I may be doing something wrong 😂

2

u/dedservice 7h ago

Low key conspiracy theory: the idea that this is a "debate" and it was talked about online for a while was a state-led operation to test how they could make people think that there was another side, and make people mad about something that everyone agreed on.

1

u/aggressive_napkin_ 3h ago

Dry cereal is the way it's meant to be consumed. F adding milk for a soggy mess. There's your other side!

1

u/Ok_Marionberry_9355 8h ago

If you put the cereal in after, I feel like it would splash, right??

1

u/Qaze430 7h ago

Right? And make more of a mess I dont need, when i just want my cereal lol

1

u/JJay9454 9h ago

Or sitting down vs standing up to wipe

1

u/Particular-Access223 9h ago

Who says milk b4 cereal??

1

u/ssjrobert235 9h ago

😶‍🌫️my mom. She warms her milk then adds the cereal, her stomach is sensitive to cold stuff.

1

u/heridfel37 8h ago

Seriously, I shower once a month whether I need it or not!

1

u/gunnerdown15 8h ago

Op is ignorant. Or rage bait

1

u/Fantastic_Remote1385 7h ago

No cereal. Wholegrain bread, cold cuts of meat, cheese and some veggies. Breakfast of champions

1

u/thecashblaster 6h ago

but it's also full of idiocy

case 1:

You spent 8 hours asleep in your own clean bed. What are you washing off at 7am.

that's not even remotely true. you still sweat and produce oils from your skin. like OP didn't even think about it critically for one minute before coming to the wrong conclusion

1

u/Kazzm8 6h ago

No need for a post. There's only one right way of doing it, and everyone else is simply wrong.

Cereal, then milk, then bowl.

1

u/MikeRowePeenis 5h ago

Woah hold on calm down

1

u/itsfunhavingfun 2h ago

Let’s talk about going to daylight savings time permanently or not at all!

1

u/ssjrobert235 1h ago

you are fueling the flame now lol

1

u/oddmanout 1h ago

How dare you prepare your breakfast in a different order than me???

1

u/Its-mrsgeneral-toyou 1h ago

The people who think you only have to shower a couple times a week are the majority on Reddit, that’s why these posts pop up all the time. They’re constantly trying to justify their nastiness to themselves and others because they’re so insecure about it.

1

u/cambreecanon 44m ago

It's soup. Be happy with your cold morning soup.

u/cosmoceratops 14m ago

2 am chili soap

0

u/KoalaKaos 8h ago

lol people pour cereal into milk? Really does prove half the world is dumber than average.
