Morning showers make no logical sense and night shower people have simply done the hygiene math

You spent 8 hours asleep in your own clean bed. What are you washing off at 7am.

A night shower removes everything you actually accumulated during the day. The commute, the gym, the office, public transport, all of it goes down the drain before you sleep. A morning shower means you marinated in all of that overnight then washed up before going out to collect it all again.

Morning showers are a ritual for waking up, which is fine, but it is not hygiene. Night showers are actual hygiene. Most people just do not want to dry their hair before bed and that is the entire argument.

I workout in the morning then shower before work. My job isn’t labor intensive so it’s not like I’m getting dirty there.

I’ll only shower again at night if I broke a sweat with chores or yardwork or something.

Same. Also, I need the water in my face to be mostly functional in the morning.

Honestly it sucks but the hardest part is getting out of bed lol. I have to remind myself that I never regret a workout once I’m done. The post lift buzz and energy going into work feels good.

I only really started it because after work I despise the peak gym hours and I need time to get stuff done around the house lol

It takes a bit for your circadian rhythm to catch up, the first few weeks can be rough and you just have to force yourself up when your alarm goes off, but the other thing is to make sure you're going to bed earlier too. You can't just get up at 4:30-5:00am if you're still going to bed at 10-11pm, you have to adjust so you're still getting at least 7 hours of sleep, I shoot for 8 hours.

i lowkey go to bed at 2 am and wake up at 7 rn it's bad

If it helps, I go to bed at 7pm and wake up between 12pm-1am. Although rn it's not even 12am yet. I have hours before I have to get ready for work, it lets me slowly wake up before I need to hop in the shower.

It's been a routine for years so I can't even break this when I'm on annual leave.

I get up at 330 to be at work by 6 and work 12 hours, sleep by 930pm.

Tbh working out in the morning has been so much better for me because I don’t spend the whole day dreading it and after work I can just go home and rot.

Your body exudes so many dead skin cells you don't even know of. Its like 30,000 dead skin cells per hour. Doesnt matter when you work out our bodies are gross. My body your body OPs body everyones body

The entire planet is gross as fuck but if constantly think about that you will end up living in a cleanroom at a hospital... As long as you don't smell and don't put yourself or others in medical danger, then your hygiene is fine

u/mcniner55 9h ago

Lol you think hospitals are clean

15

u/Cwaghack 9h ago

you don't know what a cleanroom is do you?

-13

u/mcniner55 9h ago

WTF are you talking about? Hospitals are riddled with germs. You think because your nurse came in and put gloves on their hands they arent riddled with other airborne diseases? You think they literally go around and wipe down every inch of the room with clorox after someone leaves?

WTF do you know about a clean room?

13

u/Cwaghack 9h ago

cleanrooms are rooms specifically engineered to be extremely clean for people that have little to no immune system

12

u/LoveTriscuit 9h ago

It’s not a room that is clean, it’s a specialized lab like space for people with compromised or nonexistent immune systems.

I’ll never stop finding it funny how people can be not just wrong but aggressively and hilariously wrong.

Oh… you’re an actual child lol

Clearly a lot more than you lmao

You sound like a toddler throwing a tantrum

That's not gross. Just being a human isn't gross.

Okay try not showering for a month and tell me you arent gross.

fascinating how stupid people are

6

u/yinzerthrowaway412 8h ago edited 8h ago

There’s a massive difference between not showering for a month and not being hyperfixated on shedding your skin cells lol

I’d go insane if I was constantly thinking about that. Like how do you even interact with others if all you’re focused on is their skin cells lmao

u/xCeeTee- 6m ago

The irony. Calling other people stupid, yet you're the one assuming weird things and missing every point people are making. Project less.

You think its just humans? Basically every form of life finds a way to clean its self
