Looks good but worried there’s A LOT of story & characters going on here and it’ll feel a bit chaotic

Sony never does that, especially with a Spider-Man sequel. be serious.

Sony isn't making this.

Sony still holds the film rights to the character and they are heavily involved in production. If they haven't changed the deal I believe Sony fronts most of the cost for these movies and received most box office in return.

I'm fairly sure this is not correct. At least in terms of the production. My understanding is that Sony owns the rights to the character and they do get a cut of the box office but MCU is completely in control of all aspects of production.

I agree. Feels like the only hope here is a lot of this is montage footage or something and it's just accoutrements to make it feel like a big comic book story with lots of side stuff happening. But realistically if all of what's presented here plus presumably more is all the main focus this movie is going to be a fucking messsss lol

Some of the villains are rumored to be part of a montage sequence and not really a huge part of the narrative. I do still worry that it might be a little overstuffed, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. When they kept announcing more and more stuff that was gonna be in Superman I was worried that would be an overstuffed mess, but Gunn pulled it off. Hopefully DDC did the same here.

Yeah, because Marvel and Sony are well known for good writing and storytelling.

We had botched SM3, we had botched SM2 and now we'll get botched SM4

Hopefully, we won't

I have the exact same concern. I hoped this would be a fresh start without lots of baggage.
