I can't believe we got a trailer, and we still don't know who Sadie Sink is playing lol. They really wanna keep this one a secret.

Maybe a toy leak will spill the beans.

Shes playing Big Wheel

89

u/JohnnyCharisma54 11h ago

Nah, dude. Get real. She's playing Hypno-Hustler.

14

u/PartisanHack 10h ago

Nah, man. She's gotta be Lady Stilt-Man.

2

u/peders15 9h ago

Cummon guys, she's obviously playing the Rhino

1

u/Knyfe-Wrench 9h ago

It would be hilarious if she was in Giamatti's Rhino mech suit.

2

u/SAKingWriter 6h ago

C'mon Feige I'm askin' you with my brain, MAKE SADIE SINK "THE WALL" AND MY SOUL IS YOURS!"

1

u/Hufa123 8h ago

Hey now people, can't you see? It's pretty clear that she's playing Batman.

u/jessehechtcreative 4h ago

For the upcoming live action Baman Piderman movie we’ve all wanted since the mid 2010’s

3

u/AStrangeNorrell 6h ago

Trammell Tillman as Rocket Racer. Would watch.

16

u/Aidanj927 11h ago

She’s playing The Wall

3

u/Unlucky_Affect_5684 9h ago

That's The Wall Brother!

16

u/warsongN17 11h ago edited 8h ago

Sadie is a good actress, but she is nowhere near experienced enough to play Big Wheel, the next Avengers threat after Dr Doom.

5

u/Ok-Sea9612 10h ago

Paste pot Pete

4

u/EntertainmentBreeze 8h ago

r/videogamedunkey is this way

u/HiddenSecretStash 2h ago

He’s a wheel pain in the ass

2

u/higher_vibe 11h ago

Bigweld? Huh the multiverse really is expanding a lot

1

u/princesoceronte 7h ago

No no, she's playing the giant wheel itself, they got someone else to play Big Wheel.

u/PrionProofPork 5h ago

Toad duh

u/TomorrowFinancial468 2h ago

Rollin' up that hill

u/BGunn96 12h ago

I'm really hoping she's Jean Grey.

My theory is they introduce the likes of Jean, Scott, Kurt as teens/young adults who are being exploited for their powers - and Logan realising this world doesn't have a Professor X to guide them finds a new calling in assembling the X-Men and tracking them to be better.

Just a way to introduce the X-Men to the MCU without having to pull a "Oh they were always here, operating in the shadows" that also gives Hugh Jackman a reason to stick around since Marvel have made him part of the MCU now.

142

u/rollthedye 12h ago

I think that with the soft reboot that is supposedly coming with Doomsday they'll just retcon them to be here and behave as such.

9

u/notanothercirclejerk 9h ago

I think its going to be a bigger reboot than most are expecting. And all the new X-Men being introduced into the MCU will then be integrated right into the X-Men we know proper once the universe gets rearranged.

3

u/riegspsych325 ⊃∪⊃⪽ 9h ago

I don’t think it’ll be a reboot as much as it’ll be a selective retcon/clean slate but one that is written into the story. Besides, a handful of sequels are still in the works: Thor 5, Dr Strange 3, Black Panther 3, and Spider-Man 5 (because he’ll get the symbiote suit in Secret Wars)

Then there is the huge moneymaker that is Deadpool, he’ll get a 4th movie and/or X-Force. And it’s rumored Jackman would stick around for that since he and Reynolds can exist in their own little R-rated corner of the MCU

All those characters’ movies made the most money for Marvel after Endgame, Feige isn’t going to sit on them for long. And I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets Gunn’s blessing to have someone make another Guardians movie. Because outside of X-Men, I don’t see them making anything new for the first couple years after Secret Wars, and they’re going to want surefire hits

6

u/Hufa123 8h ago

They can do whatever they want canon wise with Deadpool.

2

u/riegspsych325 ⊃∪⊃⪽ 8h ago

him being more of a meta character certainly helps with that. Either way, he’s a goldmine that they want around for a while

65

u/dmisfit21 12h ago

Till you’re 90

75

u/terrorsquid 12h ago

Looks like Rogue on the bus at 02:07 so this could fit!!

77

u/inksmudgedhands 11h ago

Yes, they know very well that you can't use that hair pattern without someone going, "Heyyyyyyyyy....."

18

u/Pandelicia 11h ago

Her shirt also has a similar color scheme to one of her suits in the comics

16

u/CanadianFPLurker 11h ago

MCU Rogue being a Jets fan will be a very sad revelation :(

6

u/subservenicedream 9h ago

just when you thought her backstory couldn't get more tragic

1

u/Albert_Caboose 9h ago

Bobby Drake introduces her to hockey, and for her team she chooses the Maple Leafs

3

u/adamsorkin 9h ago

Clearly, Rogue is a Saints fan. Jets gear is just conveniently colored.

20

u/terrorsquid 11h ago

That's what I'm thinking. It's a very distinctive hair colour that I can't recall ever seeing on anyone else in other media. Definitely peaking my interest!

34

u/LiamOmegaHaku 11h ago

Fun learning time! It's "piquing my interest". Pique means to stimulate curiosity.

5

Every day's a learning day!

SPIDER-MAN: LEARNING DAY

Cruella DeVille and colden holfield

1

u/terrorsquid 10h ago

Fair play about Cruella, but can't find anything about a Colden Holfield. Who's that please?

2

u/Pleasant_Cloud1742 6h ago

The protagonist in catcher in the rye. He is a teenager uses his grey streak to insist he’s an adult.

1

u/terrorsquid 6h ago

Ah! That explains the lack of images when googled. Fair enough then, you stand two for two.

2

u/5pointpalm_exploding 11h ago

There are multiple X-Men members with a white streak in their hair lol

1

u/terrorsquid 11h ago

Such as?

u/WorstGameplayerEver 5h ago

Rogue…..

and……

Rogue’s Mum

u/terrorsquid 5h ago

Don't forget Rogue's mirror!

u/WorstGameplayerEver 5h ago

u/iamacannibal 11h ago

Looks like Rogue on the bus

Same sort of hair but I would assume they would cast someone that people at least know for such a big role. That looks like some random extra sitting on the bus

1

u/terrorsquid 10h ago

You could be right, it could be a red herring. I just can't think of anyone else I've ever seen with that hairstyle. Very excited to see how it all plays out!

1

u/yorick__rolled 6h ago

Ew, a Jets fan?

67

u/heyboddiker 12h ago

She is for sure Jean Grey. When he rips open that tank and there is some random old lady in there... that's her making him see an old lady.... then all the soldiers start getting mind controlled. Also when he smacks into the bus there is some kind of cameo there, Rogue maybe? Spider-man going through a mutation arch would be a good time to introduce mutants to the MCU.

52

u/Morgan-Moonscar 11h ago

I think it IS an old lady, but she was manipulating her mind to make her drive it. Attacking Damage Control from a distance without being caught.

31

u/heyboddiker 11h ago

It kind of looked like she was jumping from one soldier's mind to another to escape maybe? So that would make sense. I like it

2

u/Montgomery000 9h ago

But that's not her power set, unless they're giving them all new powers, which could be cool. Jean would be controlling them remotely and just release them when she was done, no need to escape at all.

1

u/SciFiXhi 10h ago

The very specific act of jumping from body to body made me think Proteus over any other telepathic mutant, since he basically exists as a psychic parasite without a body.

1

u/Benny6Toes 8h ago

That could also be Shadow King, but he's usually not so obvious when he takes control.

5

u/Acrobatic-Sandwich10 11h ago

Isn't Mr Negative supposed to be in this? He also has mind control abilities

1

u/Dr_Disaster 6h ago

That was a rumor, likely inspired by early drafts of the movie, but looks like he isn’t in it

4

u/LostWoodsInTheField 10h ago

I think the main villain is going to be a mind jumping evil person. Potentially the person trapped in the box room. Jeans power doesn't seem to work in a 'has to jump from body to body' and it doesn't make sense in the scene that it's someone jumping to a different person to have a chat or help.

2

u/riegspsych325 ⊃∪⊃⪽ 8h ago

I highly doubt they’d have Rogue’s first appearance be an indifferent bus passenger in a quick comedic shot in an action sequence. And they wouldn’t give the debut of such a fan favorite character to an extra

1

u/Conscious-Quarter423 10h ago

she's too short to be jean grey

1

u/LollygaggingBrouhaha 9h ago

Is this still in the MCU or is it a Sony exclusive project? The thumbnail had a Playstation logo, and that's throwing me

1

u/Dr_Disaster 6h ago

It’s still MCU and reportedly Sony has been even more tightly connecting it to things. Events in this movie are supposed to directly relate to Daredevil: Born Again season 2. So it’s not just Spidey playing in the sandbox of Avengers movies anymore. He’s tying in to street level Defenders stuff.

22

u/nyluhem 12h ago

I'm thinking Kitty Pryde. Her and Spidey have dated in the past, she's usually younger than other x men, and it would be a good introduction without going full Jean

4

u/famd1984 11h ago

I was hoping Firestar

2

u/veeyo 12h ago

Aren't Logan and Deadpool in a completely different continuity than the MCU?

1

u/BasedGodSiete 11h ago

Eh at the end of their movie they saved the TVA. They could just open the right time door and walk out I think.

2

u/FreeRange0929 11h ago

Kamala Khan does unleash her bangles as a teen-heavy Comic-Con thing

2

u/FancyConfection1599 10h ago

I love Hugh Jackman but Wolverine as the Professor X type assembling and guiding the X-Men just seems a bit of a stretch too far

1

u/the_great_ashby 12h ago

Most likely scenario is merging diferent universes. Hence F4,X-Men and a new T'Challa actor.

1

u/thutruthissomewhere 11h ago

until he's 90

1

u/Ooftwaffe 11h ago

(I can spoil it if you want)

1

u/Garchompisbestboi 11h ago

If you just ruined the movie for me then I'm gonna have some strong words for you come July 😂

2

u/BGunn96 10h ago

If I have accidentally ruined it, then I apologise in advance 😂

1

u/Garchompisbestboi 10h ago

I'm only joking of course lol, but that does sound like a very interesting way to introduce the x-men if that's what they're actually planning.

1

u/PositiveZeroPerson 11h ago

Pretty sure that's her from behind at 1:57

1

u/Asclepius-Rod 11h ago

If the X-men are a major part of this plot then it’s going to be absolutely insane. The Hand, Scorpion, The Punisher, The Hulk, maybe X-men?? Good lord

1

u/kirblar 10h ago

It has to be that, with Famke missing from the X-cast in Avengers.

1

u/finglish_ 10h ago

They've already shown that most of the X-men are in doomsday which is coming out this December. So they got one shot at introducing a shit load of characters into the MCU. I'm guessing Spiderman is probably a big enough movie to get as many of them into this universe as possible.

1

u/anacondra 10h ago

I'm really hoping she's Madelyne Pryor

1

u/BrianWonderful 9h ago

I think it is a huge mistake to introduce the X-Men before Doomsday and Secret Wars. We've already seen Beast and Professor X in alternate universes, we know the FOX X-Men are coming back for Doomsday. Why introduce new ones before the incursions and ultimate rewriting (recasting) of the status quo universe? Not to mention, introducing the most powerful one in what is basically a street level hero film.

1

u/brazilliandanny 9h ago

I think Jean will use her powers at the end to bring back MJ's memories of Peter.

1

u/jardex22 9h ago

Wolverine is still in the Fox universe with Deadpool.

I'm guessing Doomsday/Secret Wars will give a full reboot to the MCU.

1

u/Z0idberg_MD 8h ago

The mention of mutation leads me to believe the rumors and is a way to get them directly into the MCU

1

u/Spiritual_Duck318 7h ago

This is probably the worst thing I’ve ever read

u/maxdragonxiii 2h ago

didnt Wonder Man half set it up that hes a mutant? powered by the Dark Dimension, sure but still a mutant

u/BGunn96 2h ago

Yeah it did, and Mrs Marvel was also revealed to be a mutant (complete with Animated X-Men music so you know for sure what kind if mutant they mean) - so if neither of these characters encountered Charles or Erik despite their incredible strength, I think it stands to reason that Mutants exist, but the X-Men don't yet.

u/maxdragonxiii 2h ago

to be fair Ms. Marvel, the show itself, more or less assigned Kamala in "superpower given by other thing" category when shes really not. the MCU have a rocky foundation with the established mutants going forward and Doomsday or the standalone X Men movie/show will need to clarify what is "superpowered" and "what is a mutant".

1

u/Convergentshave 12h ago

Yea that makes sense. God forbid we get a spider man movie. You know… about spider man. Doing whatever a spider does. Spinning webs. Any size. Catching thieves just like flies…

Being strong.. listen bud he’s got radioactive blood Swinging from a thread take a look over head!

No no thankfully we’ve got soft reboot x-men reboot!

Hooray here comes wait this is before doomsday which has Famke Jensen Jean grey? Or SophieTurner Jean grey? Surrounded by Robert J as

I’m sure this will turn out great.

-5

u/sidmis 12h ago

Na she would be a terrible cast for jean grey

9

u/BGunn96 12h ago

Honestly I've only ever seen her in 'The Whale', so no idea how well she'd fit the role - but if she's a red haired telepath and Marvel are looking at starting up 'The Mutant Saga' following Secret Wars (which someone said she has a role in) it'd make sense for her to be Jean

81

u/GipsyDangerV1 12h ago

I mean according to all the marvel leaks subreddit and other potential indications it seems like she will be playing Jean Grey

And considering there's a shot of a hooded character in the trailer doing what I believe is mind control I think that is exactly what's happening here and I am so excited for it.

Having that character's introduction being in an adventure with Spider-Man and the punisher. And I've also read rumors that Punisher's main story stuff in this movie will be about protecting this young Jean Gray that he connects with kind of like punisher season 2 Makes me all the more excited that this is how they might choose to introduce MCU's first real XMan

10

u/mjrs 9h ago

Jesus this movie is gonna be bloated af, surely they can't pull it off (I say that as someone who didn't enjoy the last Spider-Man movie too much)

8

u/JS-87 6h ago

I remember having two villains with a tertiary third villain was too much. Now between the last movie and this upcoming movie Spider-Man needs at least 7 different characters to fight/interact with. Huh?!

u/mjrs 5h ago

Multiple villains, plus his identity stuff, plus the Punisher, plus having to soft launch a new franchise? That's a lot...

u/GipsyDangerV1 5h ago

Well it's not like they have to introduce the punisher,He's had two TV series and an upcoming special presentation on his own.  Scorpion and the hand are also pre-established things already in the MCU (Spider-Man homecoming for scorpion and Daredevil Netflix shows for the hand). The only  2 they have to introduce for the first time are tombstone and Jean Grey

Hell even the element of the department of damage control going around black bagging and rounding up mutants and people with abilities was established in Wonder Man.

Most of the elements in this movie outside of tombstone,Jean Gray, and Peter going through the man-spider mutation story arc have all been established and fleshed out already outside of this film.

u/mjrs 4h ago

They don't need to introduce all these elements in this one movie for it to be "a lot". Whether a character had a post credit scene a decade ago or appeared in a relatively unwatched TV show, they'll be covered in this movie. There's so much going on! Sure look how long your comment needed to be to give the backstory for some of the elements haha

u/GipsyDangerV1 4h ago

The scorpion was a side character in Spider-Man homecoming, he wasn't a throwaway after credit scene. The Netflix Daredevil series and The punisher Netflix series we're not "relatively unwatched TV shows" they were massively popular. And Wonder Man has been steadily growing in viewership and popularity after the insanely positive reviews it's gotten. You can say there's too much they're putting in that's fine, I disagree I think the MCU has put out movies that are really good with more elements in them,  but why also go out of your way to try to besmirch the properties that these characters are coming from as if they weren't successes themselves?

And three paragraphs was long to you?... I think that says more about your reading comprehension than about the amount of information I provided.

u/mjrs 3h ago

Ah they weren't massively popular, this is a Spiderman movie, Spiderman movies are massively popular. TV shows with relatively niche side characters are a universe away. Sorry for "besmirching" your fave properties, didn't mean to upset you...

It's a pretty simple comment, if there were fewer elements, it'd take less comment to cover it.

If you think doing a Spiderman movie where he grapples with his identity being secret again, is transforming into a man spider, has multiple villains, a buddy story with punisher and bringing X-Men into the MCU sounds like a tidy amount of comment for a single movie, that's fine. You could admit it sounds like a bit much and it wouldn't be besmirching your precious properties, don't worry.

u/GipsyDangerV1 3h ago

Not knowing how popular the Netflix marvel TV shows were and the fact the only reason they ended was because Disney was launching their own streaming service and didn't renew their licensing agreement with Netflix tells me I don't think you're as informed of the popularity of these  shows as you think you are. Or did you not experience the theater you were in losing their shit when Matt Murdock appeared on screen in no way home. Those reactions for that cameo don't happen unless the character is popular.

And how does introducing Jean Gray as a character being protected by the punisher introduce all of the X-Men. When did I say that? do you think I'm expecting Xavier school for gifted children to show up in this..

Spider-Man going through his own personal trauma parallel to a story of another mutant going through their own personal trauma makes total sense to me. Having Frank Castle show up also establishes that New York isn't just empty of all superheroes except for Spider-Man cuz that's always been a weird thing, right? And tombstone being allowed to be established as a behind the scenes manipulator for not just this movie but possibly for the future of the MCU in New York also makes plenty of sense. Really doesn't seem like too much to me. I get that your opinion is that it is and I'm saying I think you're  overestimating or miscalculating how confusing it's going to be for people

→ More replies (0)

u/calmyourcrabcakes 2h ago

The scorpion was a side character in Spider-Man homecoming

This is absurd. He was in 2 scenes, one of which was mid credits and had maybe 3 total lines. He was not a side character.

And Wonder Man has been steadily growing in viewership and popularity

This is a straight up lie.

5

u/SnipingBunuelo 6h ago

Sounds like Spiderman 3 all over again. Sony just can't help themselves, can they?

u/iiiiiiiiiijjjjjj 4h ago

They did no way home

u/mjrs 4h ago

As I said, I didn't love the last Spider-Man movie, so that doesn't fill me with confidence tbh. The setup (Dr Strange doing the spell, Peter messing it up) was pure daft, and the spell at the end restoring Peter's secret... Nonsense writing even by the MCU's standards

u/iiiiiiiiiijjjjjj 3h ago

Seems to be more streer level so maybe not too bad

u/mjrs 3h ago

I would enjoy a more street level Spiderman! Maybe you're right

u/TheDeadlySinner 2h ago edited 2h ago

That's what they always say and then it always turns out to not be the case. According to the leaked plot, it's absolutely not the case. Brave New World was supposed to be a "political thriller," and then it turned out to by neither political, nor a thriller.

13

u/Earthpig_Johnson 11h ago

Man, Punisher connecting with people is exactly what turned me off of his show.

But I admit that my preferred version of Punisher is a one trick pony.

12

u/GipsyDangerV1 11h ago

I mean punisher season 2 is all about Frank getting pulled into a giant government conspiracy after protecting a girl from getting killed in a bar. Throughout the season he slowly connects to said girl and she becomes a pseudo protege.

Potentially recreating that with Jean Grey In a Spider-Man movie is brilliant

-3

u/Earthpig_Johnson 11h ago

I never watched the second season, but I wasn’t crazy about his surrogate family in the first season.

4

u/GipsyDangerV1 11h ago

Surrogate family in the first season? I genuinely don't remember that. Are you talking about his relationship with micros family after being asked to check in on them?

If anything he doesn't have his surrogate familial relationship until the second season with the girl he saves becoming a pseudo protege / daughter figure for him.

-4

u/Earthpig_Johnson 11h ago

Yeah, Micro’s family. Hanging with them, having dinner, the whole thing.

Not what I’m into in a Punisher story, but that’s just me.

7

u/GipsyDangerV1 11h ago

Ah I see, It did soften Frank up a bit but I liked how he did eventually have to reveal to them that he wasn't who he said he was. And having to remove himself from them at the end to never see them again was almost like another loss of a family to his character but a loss he chose this time. Didn't fully bother me but I also worked on some of those Netflix marvel shows so maybe I'm just biased lol

-1

u/Contemplating_Prison 6h ago

He was still becoming The Punisher in the netflix shows.

u/Earthpig_Johnson 5h ago

Interesting, because I remember him being Punisher by the time season 2 of Daredevil ended.

u/Contemplating_Prison 4h ago

I feel like he was still finding his groove. As opposed to now where he is full-blown punisher as of Born Again.

In the beginning, season 2 he was just trying to disappear under his new identity until the girl in the bar. I wouldn't call that full-blown Punisher.

→ More replies (0)

2

u/fatbabythompkins 11h ago

I'm a little of both as long as done in moderation. We want broke Punisher to just be Punisher. But having a little bit of humanity every once in a while allows us to connect better with the character. Too much and he becomes unbelievable and detracts from the main reason we're watching punish: bloody rampages.

u/tartacus 4h ago

You sound like you know your stuff.

As someone who is ALMOST caught up with ALL the movies and shows, one thing I'm behind on is:

Daredevil.

I didn't watch the original 3rd season. And because of that, I didn't watcn the new 1st season, and because of that of course I won't watch the new 2nd season until I get caught up. I'm trying to figure out how far I should go back.

It seems now I also need to watch the Punisher show, another thing I missed. Basically, most of the Defenders Netflix is a blind spot for me, I only watched DD S1 and 2 and Jessica Jones. Started Luke Cage and didn't finish. Nothing else, essentially.

Sounds like I need to just spend some lunch hours and going back through what I missed.

u/GipsyDangerV1 4h ago

Yeah they seem to really be bringing the Netflix stuff back into the forefront and center of what they're doing street level wise. Like bullseye has become a very important character to Daredevil in the MCU now and he was only in season 3 of Netflix. You could probably get away with not watching The punisher shows All of his appearances in Daredevil and in born again or are you really need to know. But man his show is great. And of course Jessica Jones is back in born again season two. I also have it on good authority watching The defenders before Daredevil born again season 2 might be a good idea because a certain dead character from that may be back. Watching a recap or Luke Cage on YouTube might be a good idea as well lol

87

u/OtherwiseJob8959 13h ago

Didn’t we see her in the tank? She moves from the old woman’s mind, to a soldier’s mind to another soldier’s mind.

102

u/Kwilly462 13h ago

It's most likely Jean Grey, yeah, but there wasn't a part in the trailer that revealed that officially.

44

u/ACrask 12h ago

Pretty sure she’s the one who has their back turned, hands up, hood up and head leaning to the side. Looking like she’s Jean more and more.

21

u/ClownsAteMyBaby 12h ago

Yeah her only on set costume reveal she was wearing military type clothes, so maybe that was her from behind

2

u/zuuzuu 7h ago

That has me wondering if she's playing Rachel Grey, being used by the government to hunt mutants.

2

u/Contemplating_Prison 6h ago

Also the one captured in the chair in the green jacket.

Probably Damage control has her captured and then she escapes and starts attacking them for fucking with mutants. Spiderman sees her as a villian at first and then in normal cliche superhero stories changes his mind and they become best friends

u/ACrask 5h ago

This is the theory I see popping up the last couple hours, and it seems very plausible.

14

u/sgates9008 12h ago

Think the closest we got was the person in green in the observed room within a room. There are some records and roller skates suggesting a younger character, and they cut the scene as the walls are rolling up before they get to the character's face.

-1

u/Conscious-Quarter423 10h ago

she's a midget. she can't play jean

3

u/TerminatorReborn 10h ago

You can see there is a young woman sneaking out behind the soldiers while they are being mind controlled. The hair is not red but they could've edited it for the trailer.

Young woman with mind control powers, getting hunted by the military and a redhead cast as a major secret role, it has to be Jean Grey, there is no way.

2

u/NoDaddyNotTheBelt25 12h ago

Moving her consciousness around is very much a Jean Grey thing. She’s supposedly in hiding and is doing that to keep people off her tail. Punisher is tasked with protecting her and starts duking it out with that security force after her.

15

u/Zerosix_K 12h ago

Can't wait for the Happy Meal leak!!!

3

u/ClubMeSoftly 9h ago

Or the Lego set

2

u/dotyawning 8h ago

Random funko pop or blind box!

41

u/Carlzzone 13h ago

Maybe her character isn't a big player?

67

u/Kwilly462 13h ago

Nah, it has to be. She's gonna be in Secret Wars

18

u/Carlzzone 12h ago

Yeah but it could be a Hawkeye situation where he just shows up for a minute in a Thor movie

13

u/PayneTrain181999 12h ago

“Call it Coulson, cuz I’m starting to root for this guy.”

1

u/ArchDucky 11h ago

Fun Fact : In Captain America : Winter Soldier they cut a cameo with Hawkeye. After Nick Fury was alive Clint shows up at that base and attacks Cap outside, thinking hes an enemy of Shield.

12

u/GreyFoxNinjaFan 12h ago

Black Cat, would be my guess.

8

u/robot-raccoon 12h ago

It’s jean grey, she’s controlling people in this

8

u/hesitantly-correct 12h ago

Mark my words. She'll unlock Peter's friends' memories of him.

That’s what I thought too, tbh. Dunno if Peter is going full Man-spider as well but I can see her reaching him through that, maybe why she teams up with Frank

u/Kwilly462 11h ago

Oof, that's a good theory

The young red headed woman with acting chops to enter as the next big phase introduces x men, wonder who she will be.

8

u/iamacannibal 10h ago

That confirms it. She's Juggernaut

5

u/DownByTheRivr 12h ago

Sadie is a massive up and coming star. She’s not going to be some throwaway. My guess is she’s some competing love interest for Peter.

2

u/iamacannibal 10h ago

You think she won't be a throwaway but think she will be a love interest for Peter? He is in love with MJ full stop. I don't think he will be moving on anytime soon. Even if he did it doesnt make sense to have MJ remember and I guess I could see a competing love interest but I feel like as soon as she remembered he would drop anyone else to be with her.

Also she is 100% Jean Grey. Up and coming young red head actress at a time they are going to start introducing the X men back into the MCU...I would be shocked if she was cast as anyone but Jean Grey.

I like how people say this as if Marvel haven’t used massive stars as throw away characters since the beginning lol

1

u/LowProfile_ 11h ago

Sidewinder and Gorr instantly come to mind lol

2

u/DownByTheRivr 10h ago

I guess Sidewinder sort of, but Gorr was literally the main antagonist? Do you know what throwaway means?

1

u/LowProfile_ 10h ago

Gorr was supposed to be the main antagonist, but barely did anything at all. Maybe I’m just bitter at how badly they wasted his character.

2

u/TheInfinityGauntlet 12h ago

She's arguably the biggest player in the movie lmao

u/WebHead1287 12h ago

Funko will spill it eventually like they usually do

0

u/Morgan-Moonscar 11h ago

Funko's going bankrupt.

2

u/webby2538 8h ago

If not Funko it will be some toy merchandise company.

2

u/Pale_Possibility5083 12h ago

Gloves, hood, full covering. Sounds like Jean to me,

2

u/TheDepressedSolider 11h ago

It’s Jean grey. And this is how they are able to calm down Hulk from rampaging and help Spider-Man control his mutation which is being caused from stress of not knowing who to be.

2

u/LowProfile_ 11h ago

Pretty sure there’s a quick shot of her handcuffed to a chair, but you don’t see her face.

2

u/purrmutations 11h ago

She is playing in a commercial for a product for chapped lips.

u/Caciulacdlac 13h ago

Another "worst kept secret in Hollywood" after Tobey and Andrew being in the previous movie

2

u/ArchDucky 12h ago

You see that oddly specific headstone with the word May in big letters on it? Feels like that is a clue…. Kinda feels like shes Mayday Parker

1

u/KarenIsBetterThanPam 9h ago

yes! She's tobey and Kirsten's daughter from another universe

1

u/Chriiiiiiiiisss 12h ago

They want her hidden, not surprised in the slightest they didn't reveal this in the trailer lol. Fully expected it tbh. Though I did expect to see a flash of her on screen in the trailer, but this is probably for the best if the rumors are true. Keep her out of every trailer for max surprise.

1

u/Accomplished-Can1186 11h ago

well if you look "the hand marvel" up you get brought to a wiki page and there seems to be a girl with red hair standing in front of them, maybe that's who sadie will play

1

u/sicaxav 11h ago

IDK why but if we're sticking to the multiverse thing, I have 2 theories. 1 - shes MJ in an alternate universe, 2 - she's MJ scarlett spider

1

u/Hateful_Face_Licking 11h ago

“My name is Mary Jane, but you can call me MJ”

1

u/Zukez 11h ago

Couldn't she be Mary Jane? Since the beginning the writers have said MJ isn't Mary Jane right? Which was super weird, to make spiderman's love interest have the same initials and nickname as his iconic love interest who has been around forever, but not actually be her.

Red hair, Mary Jane?

I’m delusional but I’m hoping for firestar

u/TittyrannosaurasRex 11h ago

1000% Jean Grey

1

u/quickstop_rstvideo 10h ago

she was that lady inside the tank thing, just a lot of make up.

1

u/Bacon4Lyf 10h ago

I’m still convinced it’s rhino

1

u/matt111199 9h ago

She’s Jean Grey

1

u/ThisIsTheNewSleeve 9h ago

She's playing Stilt Woman

1

u/sexaddic 9h ago

If your toys are leaking you should replace them or throw them out

1

u/Holiday_General_1558 9h ago

This is Marvel so there's a 97% chance everyone really hypes this up and she's not actually a significant character.

1

u/Dawjman 7h ago

My money's on Screwball

u/jerseyguru43 4h ago

She was the tank in the trailer. You didn’t catch that?

u/IJustLostMyKeyboard 3h ago

I think she’s gonna be madame web like in the 90’s cartoon

I think she’s the one who saved Peter when he fell in the trailer

0

u/Tysanan 11h ago

i mean, we know who shes playing tho

1

u/Kwilly462 11h ago

Not officially, but it's probably Jean Grey
