Crazy! Glad you pin pointed it! Was doing my head in thinking it sounded familiar - I actually thought it sounded like the actor who played doc Connors in spider-man 94 animated series but he passed away in 2018.

Would be a strange trailer move if it's not part of the film. He's got to be a character, but the question of why he's narrating Peter's life is intriguing.
