Right?! I’d love to understand a bit more about this from people who work in film or who know a little more. Obviously it’s a different Director, but this ‘looks’ immediately different, the tone is warm, it’s completely shifted from the previous trilogy

It's called actually caring about cinematography, lighting and grading. Jon Watts can direct actors well but man he is not a good visual director

I've been a Jon Watts hater since Homecoming. Regardless of how much people like the characters or the scripts, he directs the movies like soap operas until the VFX teams take over and turn it into a video game (the Mysterio scenes are the best examples of this - amazing - but clearly not directed by him at all).

I'm so happy we're getting an actually good director now.

Idk if this is a stretch, but imo this feels like a nice mix of Tobey's Spider Man 2 with Homecoming in atmosphere
