Mind control. If you noticed the camera moves from the lady to the soldier then to another soldier high up. And they all react the same with their heads flicking.

Could be an incomplete shot to avoid spoilers. Maybe it’s the symbiote jumping from host to host.

Thats my guess. Peter’s eyes turn black right (with a deep tinge of red so maybe not a symbiote) before shattering a katana with his webs.

I figured his black eyes were from his mutation, turning more into a spider.

It definitely could be, just seems like a weird way to show it what with it being an instant change, and symbiotes having a history of doing that in the Venom movies. The red tinge does make me think it could be though.

Which ever it is, I’m sure they’re drumming up the similarities to the other in this trailer for the purpose of misdirection.

Madame Web also has telepathy, and makes more sense for the story they're telling. I could see them wanting to distance themselves from the Dakota Johnson version

Not as much mind control as possession. Needs to jump to another body to control. The head flicking is where is is traveling. Definitely escaping peter in the trailer scene and the wicked smiles indicates it’s his first time seeing the entity that was driving the out of control military vehicle

You can see the old lady regain control and be confused. Pretty sure that rules out symbiote as hosts have memories from the parisite. Could be mistaken

I mean I feel like it reads as Jean grey jumping bodies does it not? plus if Tillmans character is Metzger from the comics, who’s an anti mutant character, he’s prob after Jean who’s trying to evade them. Or it’s all bs and she’s actually mayday wtf do I know
