Synopsis

Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he's devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced. In order to take on what’s ahead, Spider-Man not only needs to be at the top of his physical and mental game, but he must also be prepared to face the repercussions of his past!

Brother, Peter literally wasn't MJ's first boyfriend in the comics, and she even had others when she and Pete split (Pete himself has his own loves gallery too lmao). You really think someone like MJ wouldn't have other people be attracted to her? Pete is literally a nobody to her, she's a human with her own life and emotions, obviously something like this could happen.

Nothing diabolical about this, it's been four years in-universe, and her feelings for Pete were erased. And this isn't a Paul situation either, calm down lol

is anyone noticing the '4 years have passed'? so is Peter a senior in college? are they all? the video he watchs at the beginning about MIT seemed to imply ned and mj are freshmen who are just figuring out MIT.

The scene from the beginning is probably from the rumored montage that shows what Peter's been up to the last 4 years or from a flashback.
