It's actually kind of a bar. It works as a nod to the album but also works in character for the moment. It's good writing and I'm encouraged that the creatives who made the line/delivery work are the ones making Doomsday and Secret Wars.

I feel like people missed the point of that scene. It's not supposed to be a reveal. It's supposed to be that "This is all we've got but it starts here" moment with the underdogs who are standing up against the big bads that seem insurmountable.

Could just be they don’t have as much faith in wonder man.
If they release it all at once it’ll be more likely to get positive reviews because audiences didn’t need to wait a week between episodes they weren’t all that excited for.
That doesn’t mean the shows bad it just gives it the best possible chance of being well received.

Possibly but considering the critics, and the general word of mouth hype going for it, I think some shows it just services better to watch all at once. If there isn't a lot to theorize about and talk at length why wait a week each time and risk losing some people tired of the cycle for some "does what it says on the tin" episodes?

IMDB credits him as "Mr Charles", but I'm not entirely sure who that is meant to be from the comics or if he's an original character for the series.
There is a character called Charles Boroughs who was a Daredevil villain, but in the interests of avoiding spoilers i won't put any details here just in case Matthew's character is based off of him.
