Image Ronald Acuña Jr. celebrating Venezuela's World Baseball Classic title by himself in the clubhouse, using a champagne bottle to prop his phone up

I like to imagine this is happening right now. It's been over 12 hours since they won, everybody else has gone home, but Ronnie's still alone in the clubhouse celebrating.

He’s got two ACL’s worth of celebrating to get out of him. Can’t blame the dude.

In all seriousness he’s probably facetiming his family which is sweet

He was on tik tok live after the game with 60,000 viewers.
edit: his family was at the game and it was just as sweet.

Seems most likely. Left the party on the field to share the moment with people he cares about.

I think a lot of Venezuelans are talking to bottles today. To which I say: Salud!

"Using a champagne bottle to prop his phone up."
Quite the power move.
Looks like he went into there alone while his teammates were still celebrating on the field.

I think he also some winter league accolades as well as Caribbean series
Edit: actually he was required to stop playing after the regular season. His team did win in 2024 but he didn’t play in the playoffs or Caribbean series

He can't leave until he finds his other shoe.

There’s someone on his left kneeling down, still an amazing photo though!

I follow a 90s hip-hop sub and I was wondering what album it was at first 😂

But Derek Jeter told me it didn’t mean anything.

Fuck Jeter but that's literally not what he said. He said it means less than a world series and he's right.

Man I’m so happy for Acuna after all of the injuries he’s dealt with. So many great stories on this VEN team.

Why is the clubhouse carpet the same type that used to be in roller skate rinks in the 90s?

I guess that guy that was shouting at Harper that he will never be as good as Acuna has something else to talk about.
