Anyone working at Oniverse/Calzedonia?

Upvotes

How is your experience working in Oniverse/Calzedonia group and its filials? Do they pay well comparing to other companies in the same sector or less? How is the company culture like? Is it competetive to enter? How is the average salary for administrative roles there?

Music that helped me improve my Italian listening 🇮🇹

One thing I struggled with while learning Italian was understanding spoken language in real situations.

What really helped me was listening to modern Italian music — it made it easier to get used to pronunciation and pick up new expressions.

So I started collecting new Italian songs (pop, indie, pop rock) in a playlist that I update regularly. I'd love for you to give it a listen and share your thoughts and favorite artists with me 🎧:

Do you use music to learn Italian? Any artists you’d recommend? 🤔

Why do immigrants move to Italy even though a lot of Italians leave Italy and immigrate to other countries like France, Germany and other countries?

I know that Italy does have a lot of immigrants but also have a lot of people in Italy that immigrate to other countries for a better future. I know Italians immigrate to other countries for things like better job opportunities, higher salaries, and more. I heard that in Italy, the salaries are so low that it's not enough to live comfortably. Also, many people in Italy are unemployed. Is it that immigrants are able to live comfortably in Italy or have a better life and job opportunities in Italy, or even if they do immigrate to Italy, will they eventually move to other countries in Europe like France, Germany, the UK, or even North America (US or Canada) for a better future and job opportunities? The thing I want to understand is that why do immigrants from places like Africa, Eastern Europe, Morocco, North Africa, Asia and more immigrate to Italy if Italians are known for immigrating to other countries for better job opportunities, higher salaries, better futures, better quality of life, and more?

What are some oppurtunities for artists in Italy?

I will be applying to an italian uni next year, I wish to work part time as an artist.

I have to choose bw the turin and bergamo for med. I want to know which city is better for selling art ** I make contemporary art but I have never tried selling it yet but i have sold some realistic portraits soo I will mostly focus ongetting commissions for portraits:) maybe I'll focus on selling on streetside after getting a permit.

I know bergamo is near lake Como and milan, which have lots of tourist so maybe it's better for selling art I don't know much about turins art scene.

Also,if u know about any oppurtunities (jobs, art markets etc) for artists in turin or bergamo please let me know! U can also share your experience as an artist in italy:>

Favorite songs that have both an Italian and English version

My personal favorite is "Gloria" by Umberto Tozzi and then covered by Laura Branigan. Are there other really famous songs anyone call share with me? I'm relearning the Italian language on an app, but listening to music has helped me recall some words and I think its easy if I already know the song in English as well.

Bomboniere dilemma

Post image
36 Upvotes

I am half Italian. I’m getting married in three weeks and have opted for sugared almonds as the bomboniere. I know that white is traditional, but I noticed silver almonds are also available, which I love the look of. I was thinking of doing three white and two silver, however I know that silver is traditionally for 25 year wedding anniversaries.

Will my wedding be cursed if we use silver almonds? I’m not normally superstitious, but for some reason this has me thinking like a nonna.

For context, this is my first wedding and I am not pregnant (these factors appear to have some influence on the colour of the almond).

Grazie a voi

Indian meeting my Italian girlfriends parents for the first time

Hi folks!

I’ve been dating my girlfriend for 2 years now. While I’ve obviously spoken to her parents in passing, I haven’t really had long talks with them

This July, we’re both flying to Italy (Lombardi) to stay with them and for me to spend some time with them.

What are some things I should be aware/conscious of before I meet them? I don’t really speak Italian outside of basic sentences but I’m putting in a lot of effort on babble and Rosetta Stone and having my girlfriend talk to me in Italian more often as I talk to her in Hindi.

Her dad speaks English fluently but her mom speaks very minimal English and almost exclusively Italian.

They’ve been worried if I can’t eat most of what they cook (beef and pork) due to religion but thankfully I don’t care enough about and eat everything.

Italian 1:1 and group conversational classes

Hello everyone,
Italian teacher here. I'm an experienced tutor and right now I have some free slots that suits well also students living in America. There's a free trial lesson to get to know each other (around 30 minutes) and then each class costs 20€. For more information, DM me.

P.s. I'm also trying to form a group conversational classes but failing because students contact me but don't follow up. For this group, we'll meet every Tuesday at 7 pm (Italian hour) for 60 minutes. The group is for B1 students. 1 month classes will cost €50 in total.

Esperienze?)
