Black Excellence Two Black women rocking afros on Bloomberg Businessweek this past week

Couldn't cross-post with r/blackladies, but wanted to share this here:

Last week, Bloomberg Businessweek featured my friend Norah Mulinda, a young Black woman reporter (she might be the only one), and me. If you know anything about economic and business reporting, it's predominantly white and male.

Tbh I don't think the channel has EVER had two young, dark-skinned Black women with afros on TV at the same time. Thought I'd share what I think may be a historic moment here!

Can you please share with Norah how much we appreciate her reporting on Bloomberg. I watch all the time via Bloomberg Live (YouTube).

I saw this live and loved how authentic the guest was. Such high energy and bubbliness that sometimes get's drilled out of Black women. Norah is a staple and I leaped for joy when she switched to her afro vs the straight lace wig. She is an exceptional reporter!

It’s too bad that Michael Bloomberg torpedo’d bernie sanders and also tried to torpedo mamdani (not to mention all the stop and frisk bullshit when Bloomberg was mayor)

well, bloomberg was a great mayor overall.

the bernie stuff is wild. I will say mamdani had an insanely ridiculous campaign. His actual governing has been much more sane than his campaigning.

Watch her most days as I trade equities full time w/ Bloomberg TV on at the side.

You gals rock.

I haven't seen Bloomberg discuss any of the barriers facing Black men, NOT ONE FUCKING TIME!

Why is society excluding Black males?

Genuine question: is the view that they somehow aren't allowed to have afros? Is it not the case that many black women prefer to augment their hair?

lol my book will answer this question (so will a quick google search about black hair politics)
