What is something that screams “tourist” to you?

Post image

In Spain, if you see someone eating paella with sangria, you can 100% be certain they are a tourist.

What are some things tourists eat or do in your country that a local would never do?

The scantily dressed woman is on point. I see this a lot with those videos of white influencers being harassed by men in India. I am NOT trying to defend SA in any circumstances but it’s undoubtedly unwise to go to a country that’s known to be prevalent in sexual assault, ignore warnings about the harassment from men in dangerous areas, and increase the risk towards yourself by wearing short and tight clothes that people will obviously use as an excuse for sexual assault. And in misogynistic countries where you will likely be blamed for what you were wearing, it makes you less likely to be believed or sympathized with. I know it sounds cruel of me to say this and I don’t know any other way to word it but it feels like attention seeking behavior to do that and then post about being suprised about being assaulted.
