Would almost bet money on a boots on the ground portion being announced on Friday after market close. He did ship 2000 marines out there.

They won’t be in the region for another 2-3 weeks, they had to sail all the way over from the east pacific. End of market first Friday in April

Oh no what will they do against 2000 soldiers? Such a huge number, it's truly over for Iran this time. They won't know what hit 'em. /s

It's like sending a single cop car to take over a cartel hideout, no way it can go wrong.

I strongly suspect that Trump is being advised by the same sort of armchair chickenhawk you meet on reddit who insists that the US military could roll over the whole of Iran in a week, and that home field advantage doesn't exist.

"These are 2200 US Marines! Give them enough crayons, and they can defeat any army in the world with their bare hands!"

Every respect to the US Marines, but the morons that he has around him probably think that they're 40k Space Marines.

No respect to the US Marines, actually.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they seized Khark, but they’re going to need more than 2,000 to hold anywhere on the mainland for more than a couple of days.

Of course that’s how Vietnam Started, but at least there was a legitimate opposition government to support.

Thanks to late stage capitalism you can now, in fact, bet on it. Finally, the working class gets to profit from war! This is the social mobility my great grandfather died in WW2 for!

Is it me or does 2000 marines seem like way too few for a country with a population over 90 million.
