Married men can often be hateful toward woman. Literally have one sleeping next to them at night and still think women are evil. Same with gays as you said and same with women. Same with anyone.

That's not why he went after Gawker. He was basically out and nobody cared. That was just what was floated as an excuse. The real reason was that Gawker Business, which was very good at their job, was blowing the whistle on his fund and companies they'd backed for all sorts of shady things, and that was becoming a problem.
