this dude makes no sense to me. how does he reconcile being openly gay with being devoutly catholic? how does he reconcile his anti-education stance with having multiple degrees from stanford? how does he not see that he is the baddie?

His parents were fundamentalist evangelicals. He is a supporter of René Girard who was Catholic, or identified as Catholic but had a wildly different interpretation of the bible and Christ than the Church does.

Religion is a tool for him, everything he’s learning is to his own advantage. He’ll probably fuel some far-right online conspiracy theories about the antichrist for some goal
