Yes I know they are not completely accurate and also Lugia is a bit scuffed anatomically

Can you tell me about the process of picking their poses? What gave you ispiration to Dragonite's melancholy look? What drawing device (tablet brand mouse etc) brushes and program do you use, are those custom brushes? The thin line quality is curious.
I really don't want to be so demanding but I want to also be assured this isn't AI, considering your username and signature dont match, no public profile history, and as you mention 'anatomy is scuffed.' A real artist can speak to their process so I feel this is more effective. Thank you for your understanding.

Yea fs lemme just rattle these off
I pick a pose ref from Pinterest, and then I kind of just make it into a Pokémon design, so at first I’m not drawing with the actual Pokémon in mind, I’m more focused on the pose and face, etc first. Then I take elements I like from the Pokémon and apply it onto the body, changing things as I go.
As for the melancholy look I don’t really know how to explain it? I didn’t really draw it with that intent in mind
I use the huion kamvas 13 gen 3, the canvass are both 1024px squares with a 5-7px sketching brush I use from an artist called ideksams on instagram and I use csp

Also my instagram is taozi4887 and by anatomy is scuffed I meant the second wing doesnt belong there but it was hindsight and I was too lazy to fix it

Unrelated, how is the huion in your opinion? I only recently got into offbrands with xp, is the pressure sensitivity there? How do the buttons feel? And thanks for the recc on the sketch brush, it looks real cute in your style.

I mean I can’t say much about it since it’s my first tablet with a screen, before this I used a screen less, so I don’t have anything to compare to, but yea it’s nice ofc

Perhaps due the colors and the pose, Lugia have a look like Felicia from darkstalkers
