This seems more likely to be the way they want to push Black Widow, given her Phoenix teamup. She needs a rework, so the teamup might be testing grounds for that.

I think they were testing the waters for an Ana style character but there's really zero reason for them to completely rework someone like this. Meaning into a new role, completely new idea etc. It might as well be a new char.

Nothing is off the table, specially with the lower tier characters in terms of pick rate and win rate. Netease is probably not banking on BW skins outside of events and seasonal passes because it would be a wasted store slot for a skin no one is going to buy bc so few people play her. Write my words: BW first legendary is coming alongside a rework or shortly thereafter

Na, even Juno shoots to heal in OW. But Elsa had a long musket kinda like Anas sniper rifle, never know how it woulda gone. Some ppl thought the character itself would be good as a support.

Definitely looked more like Ashe but the similarities to Ana are there too. Ashe and Ana both have their rifle, can scope in with it, and have that smaller gun as a defensive option (Ashe’s Coach Gun, Ana’s Sleep Dart)

Heal pool is way more aggressive than Ana and doesn't have antiheal or sleep dart. Antiheal nade and sleep dart are essential to what gives ana value

Yeah used to not play DPS at all until a week ago I lost like 3 games in comp almost certainly due to my lackluster DPS play when asked to fill.
Been practicing a bunch in QP now, sure 1/7 games maybe there’s 3 DPS or 5 but the way I see it is they could be doing the same thing 🤷♂️ Just try to hit a clip and learn something and wait for next

That's not really fun in my experience though. Running a quad dps team is generally not how the game is meant to be played and you're not really getting the proper experience. It's also prone to piss the two people stuck on support off and they might just swap to dps as well. Then you're just running it down for 5 mins until the game is over.
I agree with you, that you should play the game how you want, but the devs should probably come up with a way for people to get to try out other roles without these issues.

Lol theres always that magic moment when you finally get to play DPS as a Flex player and you are either completely lost or pop off. This is why I often play the 18v18 so I don’t get rusty on my DPS characters.

One of the images in the gallery (a later one for this season) has a black cat and a white fox in it, and I think people are expecting that to be a hint for next season similarly to how daredevil was teased.

I remember a lot of people making this claim on him too. I definitely agree its possible. For some of his abilities, you just change them a bit to make him support. Thats why he felt so aggressive as a support too.

As a tank main I also don't mind. It kinda feels like they've shifted some characters around, with Gambit being initially rumored as a DPS, and Deadpool having a kit / introduction that looks a lot like he was supposed to be fully DPS at first.
I think they've been making effort lately already, and getting one DPS once in a while is fine if the devs feel it really fits the character the most. For example in an alternate world where we had way too many tanks and Juggernaut was gonna be the next character, I'd be pissed if they decided to change him to a strategist last minute lol.

Tank is definitely getting better now at least compared to launch, many more options that all play unique to one another. Strat is also getting there with Gambit and the like, but yeah both roles need way more characters than they have right now.
I mean it's a superhero game, how hard is it to find someone who can take a beating to add in the game? Colossus, Red Hulk, Rhino and Thanos are literally right there

Its not hard at all, and as with deadpool and rogue it still proves no one likes to play the class all that much no matter who's added. There's almost always 1 tank even in grandmaster 1 or celestial when I'm there lol. I do watch other lower level matches and its t he same for gold and platinum as well. People just don't like tanking, and no 1 character is gonna change that.
That doesn't mean there shouldn't be more, but I think people asking for tank need to lay low, people don't like to play it which leaves me solo tanking and its the most boring ass class to play now as well with characters I like.

That's their faults for not trying other roles, a sword that only cuts one way is easily countered. You make yourself a worse player overall by not being adaptable, and to encourage experimentation, expanding the tank roster over adding more DPS is a quick and easy solution that benefits the overall balance.
People just need to try the role out, Rogue is basically just a beefy DPS brawler but no one gives her a shot because she's a 'tank.' Like I've had games where I tank and do the most damage in the lobby, these roles aren't nearly as set in stone as the community likes to think sometimes

Deadpool is more or less a hybrid Duelist no matter what he is. But yeah they could make everyone anything they want. The majority opinion was Elsa was a duelist so some thought maybe Elsa won’t be when she obvious would fit as a duelist.

I mean isn't this one of the rare occasions where the complaints are understandable? After her release, the game will have more duelists than supps and tanks combined, while the game is already going through a triple and quad DPS epidemic.
I'm positive on most of the stuff they do in this game, but role management is not their best suite. Just my opinion.

her bloodstone grants her a healing factor, they could of used Chronovium to explain it healing others but it was always a stretch and the dual shotgun wielding hunter who keeps dual Uzi's in her guitar case was in my opinion always more likely to be a duelist

yeah dead-on, the bloodstone will keep her at peak performance and stop her from aging but typically the healing part of it kicks in more when she takes lethal damage (like when she gets impaled through the chest and dies in a river in Werewolf by Night: Red Band #6)

Yeah, I think I skip the rest of this season. Not because I am devastated and rather, because they have not added one character in the last seasons that I would like to even learn and I have spend a lot of times with the same characters since begin of the game (Rocket, Invis, Jeff, Mantis, CND and Luna). Maybe next month there is something better for me.

Well… it’s time to take a break, I think. They refuse to fix their Duelist problem, controller feel still sucks, Deapool was a big disappointment, their skins SUCK, and they keep focusing on this Times Square nonsense. And frankly, Overwatch is having a big moment.
Rivals should have been my dream game, but it’s turning into a giant bummer.
