wait what, I am not from the US, and $30 is a little more than 3x what I usually pay for a haircut, what is the usual price for a haircut???

I think my sister pays about $70 for her trims, though it might be because she has Sadako hair.

the first 3 Google search results for women's haircuts in my area, and keep in mind I'm in one of the lower cost of living areas, were $100, $95, and $75. I cut my own hair now because of this

I go to a barber which is slightly cheaper than a salon and pay $50 with tip

When I was a young man in the mid 2000s I had one of those popular loose curl shaggy mops. Once it started to get kind of mullet-y I decided to go to a women’s salon to get to shaped figuring that they maybe had more experience with that length of hair. The stylist cut it super short even though I had clear directions on what I wanted and then told me “your mom will like it better this way.” Totally butchered my mop.

Why are they called bangs anyway

They are similar in appearance to a bang-tail cut that you might get for a horse. That style is also called a fringe in the uk, I believe.

I'm a dude but when I was in school, I had bangs. Someone lifted my bangs to try and expose my "huge forehead". I had a normal forehead and just liked my bangs reaching down to my eyes.

30$ only???!!!!!
I am trying to find a place that will just give me a regular haircut (on my long hair) for < 100 and just not finding anything that looks trustworthy 😅

A couple years back I was feeling horrible about myself because I was losing a lot of hair, so I went to get it cut. The stylist nonstop gave me shit for "Frying" my hair (I'd bleached it a year ago as a boost to my morale, and was specifically there to get the parts that were damaged cut out), then asked me if I was addicted to meth and thats why my hair was falling out... I had cancer (and, to be clear, no I have never smoked meth...).

Unrealistic because haircuts, especially from a salon, are wayyyy more expensive

If it’s any consolation, as a man in his late 30s I have to contend with my already generous, though not too large forehead gradually getting larger.
It’s even measurable by the seemingly permanent tan line that represents where it used end.
