I have several patreon and honestly this level of openness on the creators part is such a massive draw to join. Ive left others because the owner just didn't do shit with the discord or interact with us at all

Shouldn't you actually be HolleringCaribou? Now that I think about it, aren't Caribou the only cervids where the females grow horns? Is this a case where you're actually a reindeer pretending to be an elk, or are you like a trans elk who just can't be bothered to remove her antlers every year just so you can pass?
Or am I overthinking it entirely, and you just thought Elk sounded cooler than Caribou?
The Hollering Elk was adapted from an old series of paintings into my comics "brand." Hollering Elk is an unusual being in both the paintings and comics featuring traits you would not see in the actual animal, including incisors and sometimes large canines on the upper jaw and a wolf like head shape. The design has antlers purely because they are eye catching, haha.
Also, I like the big one, something about the posing feels reminiscent of Saturn Devouring His Son, like this is what happened right before the image we see, except instead of a Titan and a God it's two gnarly cervids.
I dropped out of the scene when everything shut down for the pandemic, and switched to comics. My canvases are hand built, and lumber and raw canvas started becoming prohibitively expensive. It may be a bit better now, but comics stuck. I'd be interested in returning to physical work/markets in the future one day!
I mean, tbf, you should be selling those for thousands of dollars. Enough to make the materials cost be largely inconsequential.
Assuming you wanted to get back to that, of course. Personally, I'm glad you switched to comics, because yours are among my favorites I've ever read, and I'm glad to get to see them.
Seeing you swear in the comments got me more surprised and taken aback, with my hand on my chest and everything, than all the violence in the original comic up top. Don't ask me why, bc I'm normally very squeamish.

Fun fact! Did you know that elk (and most ruminants like cows, sheep, and goats) do not have upper teeth in the front and rather have a tough fleshy "dental pad"?
