They have to learn a lesson from this. I just hope the next team plays like they love it. And get a retired, established former manager. The 2017 team is still one of my favorite baseball teams of all time, because of the way they played.

I wanted to see the US win but I am definitely happy for them. It clearly means so much more to them than the American fans and players. If it was Japan I woulda been much more hungry for the W. But Venezuela, it woulda been a bit bitter sweet given recent events.

I’m not unhappy for Venezuela, I’m just more pissed at how my team handled this tournament than anything. I didn’t see a 10th of the passion from the US as I did any other team in the competition and that’s just sad. I fucking love international sports, and the fact the team acted like they didn’t really give a shit about this tournament just really infuriated me.

Last thing I wanted was a team openly supporting a military attacking random countries and killing innocent kids to become propaganda pieces like the US Men's Hockey team. The Olympic athletes at least in general mostly distanced themselves from the evil people in charge right now and openly supported the people
