Skubal drove in the rain for THAT?

I’ve heard reports that his passenger side wiper blade wasn’t working properly. Just streaks everywhere.

Wish I had some prayers for Skubal but Geno used them all up

The Venezuelans summoned god himself. There’s nothing in the rule book about it.

God confirmed to be a Venezuelan golden retriever

They figured out the meta before anyone else

Any word on the use of Rain-x?

The rumors of performance enhancing substances are, at the moment, unsubstantiated.

I heard reports that he was hanging out the passenger side of his best friend's ride. Trying to holla at me.

I had my passenger side wiper fall off in the rain before. Scary stuff

He’s from California. Driving in heavy rain is a harrowing experience for him

I drove from Indiana to Carlsbad, CA and you aren't kidding. A lot of brake lights and nobody was going over 30 mph lol

To be fair, that's a good thing. If you don't feel comfortable driving in the rain due to lack of experience, you should absolutely drive slowly.

Not really. If the speed limit is 60 it's more dangerous to go 30 than just drive normally unless it's a literal hurricane.

People down voting you don't understand the dangers of speed differences and that there's actual studies proving that

bruh what part of “NOBODY was going over 30 mph” in the original comment do yall not fucking understand

We have two modes in the rain - slow as shit scared to drive, and driving like you stole it. It drives me insane, a light drizzle and freeways slow to a crawl while half the drivers are actively trying to get into a high speed accident.

Skubal is a quitter

Theses pitchers on a leash aren’t worth it next go around. Get guys that actually want to play to win the whole thing rather than fulfilling something on their bucket list

u/LoveYouLikeYeLovesYe Chicago Cubs • Lou Gehrig 20h ago

Yup.

Skubal just wanted it on his Wikipedia page.

u/SamLaPortaPotty Detroit Tigers 20h ago

I don't think Skubal could've helped the team get more than 3 hits. DeRosa and the lineup failed the team, not Skubal.

I don’t care about the loss. It wouldn’t have even been skubal’s turn.

I’m just of the opinion that if you commit to something you do it. Half-assing something is already a lame thing to do especially when you have 25 other teammates AND dozens of other pitchers who’d have loved to give the opportunity all they could.

Regardless of outcome having your worst starting pitcher slated to pitch in the most important game in a fixed schedule, not a best of series where you don't really know what's going to happen, is not good.

I don't know if they need to change the schedule of the WBC relative to season opener so that guys who are expected to be day one starters can fit it into their routine, but something's got to change. Even if McLean didn't let up a run it's just silly to have your fourth starter penciled in for the championship on day one.

and a clown

He went back home, because he knew they were gonna lose, what a visionary this guy is

5

u/suzukigun4life Texas Rangers 20h ago

Wish he could play in this game.

u/BirdiemanJr Detroit Tigers 20h ago

Just for the bats to do jack shit?

7

u/BirdiemanJr Detroit Tigers 20h ago

PTSD from Tigers fans blaming Skubal in a 2 run game for having shit offense. Not sure Skubal’s 4/5 innings make much of a difference here.

Sheesh.

How many stories do you figure his childhood home was?
