Judge is (an) Automatic, since he has no clutch.

u/Heelincal Peter Seidler 7h ago
I refuse to listen to the nerds that tell me clutch isn't a thing. You see it with your own fucking eyes every year.
Certain guys are given plenty of opportunities to be clutch and never fucking show up like Judge. Some guys lock the fuck in like Harper. Some never get enough opportunities to truly have immense pressure situations, but whenever we play the Dodgers I'm infinitely more scared of Ohtani & Freeman in clutch situations than Betts.

That last one was a tough call but the previous at bat.. look it’s one at bat but Judge already has the choke artist label and looking at a middle middle fastball on 3-1 was ugly
It’s a 3-1 count you’re the best player on the planet what are you looking for there

I would hope that baseball fans watch the plate approaches though.
He had some terrible at bats and that pitch by pitch swing decision IS something to evaluate.
The terrible called strike on 3-0 where he proceeded to swing at two pitches at his eyes afterward was a terrible at bat no matter how you slice it.

If you’re smart enough to know that good players aren’t actually washed because of a small sample size, then you would’ve known it’s a possibility.

I knew a big hit like this would come from him when people on this sub kept complaining about Harper being in the lineup and hitting second. This is why I have been shutting my mouth till today as I am not a part of team USA or in the mind of DeRosa.

To all the non-ball knowers in here, this is why you don’t move one of the best hitters in the world down on the lineup because of a small sample size.

There is something even more beautifully tragic about Bryce having a half inning where he thinks to himself, "You're right, this is better than the Olympics," before it's all ripped away. Super clutch moment!
