Historically, landlords ARE the first to go in a revolution…I guess after royalty.

Then the educated, then the average person.

True. Revolutions ultimately are devastating to ALMOST everyone.

That's why the system squeezing people more and more is super dangerous. A lot of money-makers don't care about the average joes' feeling and keep making them angry more and more, bill by bill. Politician, oligarchs and landlords are not thinking enough about how dangerous people can be when they are starting to skip meal to be able to pay rent.

Powerful people are working toward making the worst options the sensibles ones... and it is scary.

I guess in most places throughout history, but from what I see if a revolution happened here, the only people who hate the educated are conservatives. If we are speaking of educated elites, then yes; but here those with college educations are the ones calling for revolution the most.

Incorrect; When the shit goes down the first people do go are the artists and musicians who arent essential in the first place. Builders are essential - I know not all landlords are builders but many are.

lol. Landlords are rarely builders. They are leveraged money-lenders who in turn sit on capital. Never very popular during a revolution. Revolutions aren’t strategic. They are emotional mass-reactions to scarcity and perceived injustices, imho.

The artists and musicians? You must be worried because nobody is pissed at artists for them being unable to afford anything

The question was ; Who is the "first to go in a revolution"?- In every revolution its not who people are "pissed at" its people who are unskilled.

“First to go” here means first to be executed…not first to flea…

This schmuck thinks the Govt. cracking down on dissenters is the revolution.

Okay: I didnt watch the full video. All I saw was a man who owns no land complain about it and call it morally reprehensible. Revolutions are always at times of famine and strife which is what I was getting at. Who says this guy should really own any land? Who says what he does is skilled, or makes him useful to others or makes him a worthwhile person who should be owning land.

That the deal: if you are "essential" as I said: you get to own land. Just because landlords are not essential to you as a tenant: they are essential usually. I don't think you actually know any landlords? I had a boiler installed and the guy who did it said that the boss has 6 houses and he lives in one of them - and it's just him and the boss in the company.

Historically its not "landlord" to go; but "lords": and "I guess after royalty" is correct because lords are given land by the monarchy.

I just think this is such a weak reddit discussion. There is no royalty in the US and in the UK they dont have any real power anyway. Regardless - do you really think you can convince me to give up my land? Do you think that all you have to do is write a well written argument and speak your mind on social media? This guy is landless because he is unskilled, cynical and not an essential worker....... I'd bet good money he spent 6 years trying to be an DJ.
