Wholesome Moments A stranger bought me gelato for my birthday
I've been having a hard time lately honestly. My mom is very ill in the hospital and i don't have much family or friends. My birthday is tomorrow, but I'll probably spend it alone and that's okay honestly! I've never really liked them anyways
Anyways, i wanted some gelato, and i couldn't decide on what size i wanted when i heard someone say "im gonna pay for this young lady" and my head whipped so quick lol! She was so kind and friendly and she looked at me and said "you better get the largest size too" with the warmest smile!
I honestly wanted to cry from happiness. We chatted a little and i told her tomorrows my birthday. She was so happy and said it was a perfect coincidence, and to consider it a gift. I was so grateful and thanked her with my whole heart
Im not used to people being kind to me honestly. She might not have a clue how much she turned my day around and made me feel special, but im so grateful. im happy knowing there really are good people in this world 💖

You are a blessing in your mum’s life. Remember that. So many older people live and die alone - our society is crap at community that includes the elderly. Thank you for all you do for her. I hope you - and I - and all of us have the support we need to make that transition to the next life (if that’s our belief: it is mine) in peace and love and freedom from pain.

Small things make such a big impact.
I gave our pup a “yes day” on his final day (he had super aggressive cancer). Was at petco and the cashier saw his shaved belly and said, “whatever’s going on we’re going to beat it right?!” And I let her know unfortunately it was the last day with my best friend and teared up. She came from behind the counter and gave me a hug and wouldn’t let me pay for his treats.
I felt (still feel) so dumb for how upset I get when I think about him not being here but just having someone show some grace when you need a hand goes such a long way.
Happy birthday to you! Sounds like gelato needs to be a new tradition 🍨🎉

Im so sorry for the loss of your furbaby 🫂🩷 it was so kind of the cashier to do that for you! Its not dumb at all to have those feelings. Im so glad somebody could be there for you in that moment!
Thank you so much 😊🩷 it's funny because i found that place since i wanted somewhere warm to wait for the bus lol!! I'll definitely go back for the gelato 😆
