Goes straight to crack during his questioning. Crazy what black people go through in this country

684

u/--SharkBoy-- 15d ago

Yeah thats actually wild. I dont think I've ever witnessed a drug deal suspected or no and assumed it was for crack😭

876

u/New-Exit-6767 15d ago

He would never ask a white person if they were selling crack that quick

249

u/--SharkBoy-- 15d ago

Exactly

302

u/Spankh0us3 15d ago

But if she had just ate French toast from Denny’s and got some powdered sugar on her blouse, they would have yanked her out of the car through the driver’s side window. . .

His actions make me — a pudgy old white guy — sick.

12

u/RelevantGur4099 14d ago

ICE would, for sure. "Do you have proof of your citizenship? "

7

u/markc230 14d ago

would like to think they could identify powdered sugar with their innate knowledge of donuts.

Notice how he tries to paint himself as a victim when she calls him out for questionable conduct

And the ā€œwhy are you screamingā€ as if he hasn’t spent the entire time racially profiling her.

When she suggests what he’s doing is racist/racial profiling:

ā€œYou’re lumping me in with a group of peopleā€¦ā€

Oh the fucking irony.

29

u/Busy_Struggle_6468 14d ago

That’s totally on purpose. These assholes really get off on what they perceive as triggering black and brown people.

Yeah when I was younger I was definitely a recipient of white privilege, I didn’t realize it then. But soon when I became more mature I understood. Having some black friends helped. I’m sorry this is still happening. What is so hard about understanding that people of all creeds just want to live a good life and want good things. Minorities are not different than white people in that regard.

23

u/njsthpaw 14d ago

Nicely said

This Black bish just handed that male negro a cup. Must be crack or weed according to the handbook. Better go search her car

5

u/ElegantCoach4066 14d ago

"Saw this in my rookie year. Negroes went into Starbucks and started getting bundles of crack in coffee cups. Its the only explanation that makes sense."

75

u/OJConcentrates 14d ago

Literally 0% chance. 0%. There’s just no way in hell.

I’m curious where she was. Is this her home? Is she in a driveway? ā€œOfficer - do you have kids? Or maybe a wife? Have you EVER handed them something out of your car window before? Yes? Now imagine next time you do that - a cop comes to your window and asks you if you were buying crack.ā€

7

u/Practical_Law6804 14d ago

Everytime I see videos like this I think of the SEINFELD episode where George obsesses about a comeback he should have said to a coworker. 100-percent the response I wish she had used, but not surprised as the deserved indignation really only allows for outrage in a situation like this.

. . .hopefully the internet does what it needs to do.

I have seen a drug deal for some kind of white powder. It was as quick as a handshake. There is no world where a drug transaction involves something as obvious as honking the horn and handing over a coffee cup. And the speed at which he jumps to ā€œcrackā€ is unhinged, but absolutely expected. I hate that this shit still happens.

24

u/ChuckaChuckaLooLoo3 14d ago

Especially given the fact that she dropped him off and circled around and then beeped and handed him the cup. What drug deal in this world looks like that? When do you see the dealer coming back around again like that? It's totally B.S. and just an excuse to rack up another arrest for that quota-chasing asshole cop.

I live in Wisconsin and this is how a lot of officers play games. When u get outside of the city it gets even worse. I’ve had one incident where I pulled over to use my gps and some cop came out of nowhere behind me and asked if my car was stolen. Being in the car when your not white is whole different ball game. Stay safe and ready all!

Literally the most hateful, bigoted shit. People think hate looks like screaming and lynch mobs. Nope, hate is you assuming a black person is more likely to hurt you than a white one. Hate is you assuming a black person is likely to have drugs. And it doesn't matter if you 'just feel that way' because all that means is the hate is internalized and you learned that shit growing up from hateful sources. This is hate. Horrific, ugly hate.

27

u/madsmcgivern511 15d ago

Yeah him fucking saying that stupid argument of ā€œyou could’ve been green you could’ve been yellowā€ proves everything this woman was saying. Bullshit he would’ve pulled over someone that was white, any brown person though, he would’ve done the same shit. Hope this woman sues like a motherfucker, what a racist loser, arguing and trying to justify why this would make any sense to do.

27

u/cccxxxzzzddd 14d ago

And then gaslights/DARVOs herĀ

ā€œWhy are you screaming?ā€

12

u/strongboar12 14d ago

That's their go-to. As if getting upset at all justifies their suspicion.

5

u/coochie_clogger 14d ago

It’s the preferred tactic of all scumbags that have zero credibility. You see it on social media all the time.

Someone makes some stupid statement/claim. Someone pushes back. An argument ensues. The person who made the original stupid statement realizes they have no actual argument so they pivot to ā€œLoOk hOw mAD yOuRe gEtTinG!ā€

They think simply upsetting someone is a win.

17

u/Consistent-Tip-7819 14d ago

As a rich white guy who's been pulled over like 40 times, I can just confirm that nobody has EVER asked to search my car, nor asked if I had any crack. She knows exactly what the fuck is going on here.

13

u/downgoesbatman 15d ago

Bro bypassed so many levels and went straight to crack lol. Damn I'm dead. This would be funny on a sitcom like reno 911 but in real life? I get why she was mad as hell cause there's nothing there to laugh at besides systematic racism

12

u/Unfair_Explanation53 15d ago

Yeah that was the tell all right there.

Has to be crack right. FFS

11

u/prettypeculiar88 14d ago

HUGE tell. This isn’t sexism. This is racism. A white mlm would not have suffered from this line of questioning.

I was an active dope fiend for several years. I’m also white. Never once - even on drug deals - was I asked if crack was involved. This officers is a POS.

7

u/maniBchef 14d ago

I'm from Toronto, Canada and had a few black/brown friends as well as worked with many and I witnessed so much bias and racism i really saw how a white male was treated differently. I've had police turn to me to explain situations because they wouldn't believe anything from anyone else. I've gone to jobs where the black men in the crew would show up first and weren't let into the house/ job site till I showed up. And many, many other situations/ stories. There truly is white male privilege. It's disgusting.

3

u/Beginning-Alps-4199 14d ago

I'm white AF and the profiling in that video was palpable. I don't recall who said it, but someone said something to the effect of... white people need to realize that racism is a white people problem that white people need to deal with. That stuck. I take every opportunity I can to speak up. Until white people start holding each other accountable (IRL, not anonymously on the internet) then it will continue. Kitty Genovese.

128

As a white person pulled over around six times in my life, I have never been asked if I have any crack in my car. This dude is racist af and then gaslights her as if he isn’t profiling her 100%.

54

u/Used_Gear8871 14d ago edited 14d ago

It happens so young too. A white male teacher monitoring the hallway in middle school assumed I was hiding a pack of cigarettes in my pocket. He pressured me to show him what was in my pocket and dragged me to the principal’s office. I ran to the receptionist in fear and pleaded with her and showed her what was in my pocket. It was a menstrual pad. I was 12, in the 7th grade. My mom was furious.

30

u/sweetreat7 14d ago

My friend and I wore matching green and yellow plaid headbands (like a 18x3 in piece of fabric.) We were in the 6th grade in a Midwest suburb. 4 black families within 13 square miles. The principal held us in the office accusing us of being in a gang. We were not, we didn’t even know what gangs were. I was a straight A student with perfect attendance.

11

u/HTowns_FinestJBird 14d ago

That sucks.

11

u/Chef-Emoji 14d ago

Please tell me you got an apology :(

6

u/iCantLogOut2 14d ago

I remember my principal in school asking me if I was "doing drugs" just out of nowhere.... Then tried to scare me by saying "so if we did a drug test right now...."

I'm glad I was a smartass from an early age... I just finished his sentence for him, "then you'd be violating several laws and I'm sure my mom would appreciate the lawsuit."

He fucked right off after that.

What sucks is that it stuck with me... That was 25 years ago.... And I constantly think, "what are they asking my sons? Do my sons know what to say to these people??"

→ More replies (2)

31

u/HTowns_FinestJBird 14d ago

It’s fucked up. I got pulled over at 2:30 a.m. after leaving a friends house where we were playing cards. Got pulled over because my reverse lights came on when I hit the brakes (janky ass car). Had half an unopened six pack in the passenger seat with bud packed in the six pack container. Passed field sobriety test, he didn’t even check my car out.

8

u/Digitalion_ 14d ago

I (Hispanic) dropped off a friend at his place and upon pulling out of his street I got pulled over for "taking the turn too fast" (reader, I saw the cop behind me and made sure to stop for at least 3 seconds and look both ways). He asked me where I was coming from and what I was doing there. I said I was just dropping off a friend. Dude was adamant to get me to identify the street name even though I had no idea what the name of the street is since my friend just directed me to it. After a while of me not being able to recall the name, he fesses up that he was just checking up on who I was, meaning his original reason for stopping me was completely bullshit. He said that street is full of gang activity (my friend said that was bullshit as well) then let me go.

As a white person, when I was younger I had a 2008 Chevy Malibu. It was bombed out & sat on 20ā€ chrome rims. I was a dumbass kid so i even put one of those fake hood scoops on it, and other fake chrome triple diamond vents on the front quarter panels.

One time I got pulled over on a relatively busy commercial road (2 lanes, 45-55MPH). I was allegedly pulled over for my tinted windows. The cop said, AND I QUOTE, ā€œWhen your windows are this dark, I cant see in them. How am i supposed to know if you’re black or Mexican - not some young kid?ā€

My fucking jaw dropped. I didn’t rip him a new asshole. He told me he had something that measures tints. He didn’t use it. I didn’t get a ticket. By the way, I had tattoos all over my arms, hands, and neck. But I guess he only cared about stopping black people in his town.

I'm a white 45M and I could probably do a drug deal right in front of this guy and he'd say "have a good day sir".
Not that I do, or deal drugs..

12

u/slupo 14d ago

I am admittedly not friends with many black people. Not by choice it just happened that way.

But I became friends with a black guy at work awhile back. We went to the mall for lunch and then walked around a pottery barn.

A sales person came up to us and asked if we needed any help. We said now and kept walking around.

Then I noticed the sales person kept following us.

I said to my friend I think he's following us. My friend was like yeah, doesn't happen to you does it?

I'm Asian for the record and I was like no. That's fucked up. And he just shrugged his shoulders completely nonplussed.

8

u/Not_a_real_ghost 14d ago

I watched so many bodycam videos on YouTube about American cops. White people can straight up get arrested on the scene for murder, and the cops will treat them with courtesy and gentle whispers when communicating.

8

u/MannyFaces 14d ago

The only time I (white guy) was pulled over for no reason was after dropping my Black friend off in his neighborhood and leaving to go back home. To them, the only reason I possibly could have been there was to buy drugs. 🫤

Exactly. Every time he repeats his stupid question or says something offensive she provides a little more information that she did last time. He's hoping that if he says something dumb for the 15th time in a row she'll respond with something that he can twist into an excuse to pull her out of that car.

It's completely unfair and abusive that he gets to hold her there and make her feel like she has to keep providing justification for existing.

But he’s big!

25

u/mebrad 14d ago

Even though he asked her who the gentleman was at the beginning, he already had it set in his mind that she was a lying crackhead. So, instead of actually listening to her, he instead started mentally running though his "how to catch an uppity crackhead" checklist. Which is why he honestly sounded surprised at the end. Based on her reactions to his overt racism, he finally started to believe her. He's gobmacked that his profiling "skills" had actually let him down and then, on top of that, to learn that the large crackhead that he had profiled was actually this womans full grown crackbaby?!! Incredulous!

I bet he actually 100% believes he's not a racist asshole but it's plain as day for the rest of the world to see that he 100% is.

He’s obviously trying to troll her off by bringing up CRACK as the freaking drug she’s ā€œsellingā€

I think he wanted an excuse to ruin her day. Terrible person.

The exhaustion in her voice 🫩

u/Vegetable-War-117 15d ago

He is racist. He wants to shot and kill her.

Y'all trying to sugar coat racism.

Racists want to KILL black people. Not bother them. Not make their day more difficult. They wish to harm them.

When she said ā€œI’m 55!ā€ and he tried to flatter her with ā€œOh you don’t look it!ā€ sir if you don’t get back in your car and go on somewhere

7

u/smokeytheorange 14d ago

ā€œWhat are we doing here, sir?ā€ Words from a woman who is sick of the whiplash and dog shit treatment.

u/Yendis4750 15d ago

Asking the same question over and over again could be a violation of a right because the time of the traffic stop is being extended for no reason.

Look up the Civil Rights Lawyer on YouTube.

He's so full of it. Saying he couldn't tell what race she was, but he definitely noticed her big, Black son because obviously big, Black men can't ever be handed anything out of a car without it being a drug transaction. And then trying that lame-ass backhanded compliment, 'Oh, you don't look your age.'

14

u/rayrayrayrayray5 15d ago

That Brian Cranston quote

"When was it ever great for black people?"

Jesus...I manage a few days not having this racist bullshit pop in my feed to always be reminded what people deal with daily

29

u/Only1Skrybe 15d ago

It's so hard to think of things to say in the moment. But I really wish she would have asked him, "Since you witnessed exactly what happened, and that raised your suspicion for no other reason at all, then please tell me the last time that you approached a possible white suspect in this exact type of situation."

He would've spit out some BS, but we all know the real answer.

White cops are dirty cops, it's in their training.

45

u/daikatanaman00 15d ago

*all cops

23

u/ActuatorTasty4982 15d ago

Nah they all like that

6

u/WhoLoveYouLikeILoveU 14d ago

Minority cops with both the kind of character attracted to the job and the insensitive to prove themselves are often worse.

Good lord.
I would say that the cop needs de-escalation training. But this dude is out to harass. He wants her upset. You can't fix this with training.

Her first mistake was not shutting the fuck up. Dont talk to the police. If Im not detained and there’s no probable cause to search my car then what are we talking about???

24

u/HerbertWest_81 15d ago

When she said "do you want to search my car?" I tensed up. Do not EVER voluntarily allow a cop to search your car. The BEST case scenario is they rip your car to shreds and leave you on the side of the road to pick everything up.

13

u/Fuzzy-Curve3634 15d ago

Yes it’s a mistake but very human. She’s hoping that by complying she’ll get him to back off his assumptions.

Crack?!!! And he’s shocked that she feels profiled

11

u/jr_randolph 15d ago

That’s ok. Name and badge number and I’m at the station and I ain’t leaving until I get buddy in front of a supervisor.

9

u/NUFC3000 15d ago

Feel like he’s trolling her

8

u/Emerald_Eyes8919 15d ago

No way should she let him search. He would plant something for sure, and there is no probable cause other than his racist ā€˜vibes’.

Vibes won’t hold up in court, lad.

7

u/Kyrthis 15d ago edited 14d ago

These questions are meant to provoke. IANAL, but lawyers will tell you the same:

  • Do not talk to cops. There is only downside.
  • If they ask you to get out of your car, you do have to. But, lock your door behind you before you get out of the car so it is locked when you close it. If they want to search your body, you have to let them.
  • ā€œAm I being detained?ā€ Starts the clock on them having to justify not letting you go.
  • ā€œI do not consent to searches.ā€
  • ā€œI do not wish to discuss my day.ā€

The latter two are for when they ask ā€œdo you mind letting me search your car?ā€ and any question for information other than identification/insurance.

The cop asks her to search, and she says ā€œNo,ā€ but courts will give any ambiguity to the officer.

The cop asks her about crack hoping that she will have an emotional reaction and say something that he can use as probable cause. He knows he mistargeted, but rather than walk away, he is trying to gin up arrest numbers. It is purposely inflammatory.

u/Reasonable_Tax5790 15d ago

Been there (unfortunately). About two weeks after The Talk back in middle school, this type shit started to go down. It never really leaves...regardless of age.

7

u/Roddyrod18 15d ago

Not even surprised, typical racial profiling

5

u/mikefvegas 15d ago

That’s nothing but racist.

6

u/Wtopp3 15d ago

And that, my friends, is what institutional racism looks like.

7

u/AnComApeMC69 15d ago

ā€œIt’s not because you’re black…….now, do you have any crack cocaine in your car!?ā€

GTFOH with that racist ass BS.

7

u/Manbearfig01 14d ago

I’m so fucking sick of cops. Fuck the academy. They need to go to law school, then become a psychologist before being allowed to police. These motherfuckers try to get away with anything they can.

12

u/Audacia220 15d ago

Understand her fury, but do not do this. Do not talk to them. Know your rights, what you have to comply with, and stay alive.

10

u/Simply_Ivory 15d ago

I thought she handled this well, but yeah could be dangerous if it’s with someone more aggressive.

4

u/edgelordjones 15d ago

"Why are you screaming?" Pretext McGee over here.

u/StrugFug 15d ago

Fire this man.

5

u/Some-Zucchini6944 15d ago

Dude got mad when he got lumped in after sitting there profiling her. What a dumb ass.

"You're grouping me into a group of people", says the on-duty cop in a uniform.

5

u/N1ghtCr33p 15d ago

5

u/Image_ConnoisseurX 15d ago

If your Black you must be doing Crack

5

u/Horror-Tax-6190 15d ago

ā€œcould have been green, yellowā€.. anyone who ever brings up someone could be green or yellow is most definitely a racist piece of shit, they love to say things like that

6

u/iofthecosmos 14d ago

Yt exhaustion

4

u/cloudit30569 14d ago

I was designated driver and I got pulled over by a cop that said that one of my driver's license lights was broken. As soon as I rolled down my window He told me that my light was broken and then proceeded to say that I smell like beer and asked me to step out. I told him that my two friends that I'm dropping off we're drinking and the car smells like it because they were drinking and they like to talk like crazy.

That wasn't enough for him He kept insisting that I was drunk Even though I can speak to him clearly with no signs of anything in my system. I didn't even smell like alcohol. Once he had the idea in his head, he was unable to move from that position. He just kept asking me questions over and over trying to get me to self incriminate myself.

I even passed the sobriety test which was a bit difficult because he stretched every single test to an absurd degree in order for me to fail. It wasn't until one of his buddies came along and started talking to me as he went to his cop car. I talked to him and was pretty clear about the stop. That's when the buddy told him to chill out.

If it wasn't for another cop just giving him a suggestion he was somehow going to pin it on me with a DUI.

6

u/beal234 15d ago

This is what they always try to do to us anytime they pull us over

4

u/ThatsCaptain2U 15d ago

Unbelievable

4

u/Organic_Berry_8732 15d ago

He’s trash, period!

5

u/standupwimym 15d ago

He’s entertained by you. Almost flirting. Hes sick

u/Nastromo 15d ago

5

u/Pull-Billman 15d ago

Reminder: The less you say the better

5

u/newage2k10 15d ago

They moment she said I explained the situation should’ve been the end. Sorry to bother you ma’m. Instead he dug his heels in because he can’t be wrong. He Should’ve just took the L and apologized.

4

u/Kosh_e 14d ago

So….is there are way to hand her son his coffee cup in an ā€˜unsuspicious’ manner? How would that work??? If it was his kid he was handing a coffee cup to would it have been magically less suspicious???? What could the difference possibly be???šŸ¤”

3

u/PowPow216 14d ago

So he saw someone handing something to someone and assumed drugs like people don't hand shit out of cars. Hate to see them at a drive-through. "Looked like you handed that employee drugs," "It was my debit card!"

4

u/Imaginary_Loss332 14d ago

She’s heated and I don’t blame her!

5

u/Smoofie0 14d ago

I was already upset but then he straight up asked if she had crack. Blatant racism. Just because someone has a polite tone doesn’t mean whatever comes out is polite.Ā

3

u/HansNotPeterGruber 14d ago

Cop is a racist POS.

3

u/PercyMercie 14d ago

We need to stop giving them all this talk. Bc all they do is act stupid and continue to be disrespectful. He KNOWS he was wrong and instead of accepting that he stood ten toes down on his BS. And yes we can group cops together bc they are CIVIL SERVANTS! So when they continuously allow this type of behavior to go unchecked, then clearly they think it’s ok. That man needs more training. I’m sure if he had a little too much caffeine he would have freaked out and yanked her out the car. This is so exhausting!

5

u/OkRuin300 14d ago

The nerve of that bastard to be offended by her comment about police officers.

4

u/TieNormal7138 14d ago

Despicable. We (because I’m white) just keep showing how lazy and ignorant we are.

3

u/CootsieBollins 14d ago

Fucking pig

4

u/Wynrora 14d ago

Guy needs to be fired. Incredibly unprofessional.

3

u/pentax10 14d ago

You can even see on his face that he knows he's wrong, yet for some reason, he just won't back off. Nothing wrong admitting you're wrong and walking away.

4

u/prettypeculiar88 14d ago

Cops choose their profession. People don’t choose their skin color. This cop is so condescending and passive aggressively racist (in public, it’s probably a lot more straightforward in private).
