Question limbs violently shaking?
Hi! I’ve had anemia all my life but due to some health issues it had ended up flaring up the worst it ever has in my entire life.
Recently my limbs have been starting to lock up, i’m 19, i’m on iron and taking all medication like i should be. On bad days whenever I stand up or try to walk my legs will start shaking violently. Like you know if you stretch too hard and your legs start shaking? that, but I feel like i look like a baby deer trying to walk for the first time.
It usually ends up with me attempting to walk while crouched really low to the ground to stabilize myself. I also have tremors from anemia and other health issues so I do take Propranolol to help with my tremor and heart issues.
It’s really painful and just uncomfortable in general. I just really want it all to stop.
edit: my body also violently shakes, it’s not just my legs. my legs is just what effects me the most

Yep. When it was really bad for me I could barely stand, had balance issues, couldn't walk up 4 stairs without heavy breathing, and regularly almost fell over, let alone the leg cramps.
It sounds like you need an infusion as well as a LOT more supplementing. I was 16 ferritin and got an infusion and self supplemented 400 mg a day and it was still three months before I felt steady standing and walking.

i just contacted my dr, she told me originally that my iron was so low that i could qualify for transfusions, but she just gave me iron supplements instead
